Tips From DealDash to Make Couponing Easier

DealDash

Do you love coupons? I know I do! Here are some tips from DealDash to make couponing go more smoothly.

Many people these days are looking for ways to stretch their monthly income so that there are able to do things like affording groceries all month or perhaps even starting a savings account. Using coupons is a great way to be able to save money on the items that you are already purchasing, namely the groceries that you purchase every month. Here are some ways to have the best possible experience when you take up couponing, from DealDash.

Figure Out a System

You need to develop a system that will make sense to you. There are many suggestions out there for what is the best system for taking care of coupons but you need to make sure that you select an organizational method that is going to be easy for you to understand. You will also want to get into a routine of making use of the same day each week to deal with the coupons that you want to use. Personally, I suggest an accordion-style folding wallet to keep your coupons in. Other people prefer binders or even just an envelope. Do what works best for you.

Get Rid of the Expired Ones

You will also want to purge expired coupons from your collection as often as possible. This way you do not run the risk of counting on savings that you are not going to be able to get. You need to make sure that you are always using coupons that are within their expiration date. Additionally, to be able to fully maximize your savings you need to avoid impulse purchasing and only buy what you need. If you buy things you do not need you are going to end up spending more and not saving money.

Learn the Ropes at Your Favorite Store

When you are just starting out with coupons start with your local grocery store. Learn all that you can about the store’s coupon policy and learn how to pair coupons with sales that the store may be having. You will soon develop a plan that will work for you in regards to using coupons so you can use it at other stores for other items that you need to purchase. Once you have mastered your local grocery store, you can move on to other stores. Try to just take it one store at a time so you don’t get the coupon policies confused.

DealDash Beats Loneliness for At-Home Parents

DealDash

Are you a stay-at-home mom or dad? Here are some tips to beat the loneliness, from DealDash.

When you are a stay at home parent it can get a little lonely. Typically, this is because you are missing out on a lot of adult interaction. The great news is that there are several things that you can do in order to be a little less lonely as a stay-at-home parent.

Limit Your Screen Time

One thing that you can do in order to not feel as lonely is to put your cell phone away. You may be tempted to go on social media to see what your friends are up to but this doesn’t replace actual human interaction. You want to actually pick up the phone and call one of your friends to see what they are up to as it can really help you feel a little less lonely. Not only that, it’s so easy to waste the entire day “Just checking FaceBook for a minute”. This isn’t fair to your kids or to yourself. Call up a friend who has a child and have a playdate!

Keep Up on Your Reading

If you have the opportunity you should read a book. While this may be somewhat difficult with more than one child if you are able to read even for a little bit it is a great way to pass the time. Losing yourself for a while in a good book is a wonderful way to get rid of some of the stress of being on your own while your spouse is at work. If your kids are young enough to still take a nap, use that time to catch up on a good book. If your kids are too old for naps, great! That means that they should be able to play on their own for 30 minutes so you can read for just a little while.

Keep In Touch

You can also choose to keep in touch with your partner during the day. Even if it is just a few short texts you will feel a lot better having that needed contact with your partner. Talk with your partner to see what kind of contact you could have during the time that they are gone so you know that it will work for both of you. Don’t despair if they don’t have time during the workday to talk or text with you, though. Try texting your siblings or a friend instead.

Thanks for Reading

Being a stay-at-home parent can be very lonely sometimes, but if you take the time to think about it there are many things that you can do to feel a little less lonely. This helps you focus more on your kids, working around the house and even taking time out for yourself.

Reaching Your Goals with Help from DealDash

DealDash

Sometimes you just need a little help to reach your goals. Here are some tips from DealDash to get you started.

Let’s face it, achieving your goals can be hard. That’s why they are called “goals” and not “stuff you do every day”. You may have a personal goal such as running a 5K or getting a promotion, or you may have a team goal such as winning a trophy. Most goals are achievable through hard work and practice. Here are some tips from DealDash to keep you striving for your goals.

What is Your Goal

Before you can work on achieving your goal, you need to know exactly what it is. Really think about it, and jot down some notes. For example, I mentioned above that your goal might be to run a 5K. Is your goal to enter a race and complete the 5K, or is your goal to just become a better runner? Write down your thoughts on your goal, and come up with a solid answer.

Once you have come up with a solid goal, then it’s time to work on a plan to achieve it. Please note, that some goals are simply not possible, but you can put forth your best effort and improve yourself along the way.

Break it Up

After you’ve come up with your goal it’s time to come up with some steps to achieve your goal. You typically can’t go from zero to goal, you have to complete some steps along the way. Using the 5K example, you can’t go from never running to entering a 5K. You would have to start slowly, first by walking the distance, then by walking and running, then running the distance. This goal would typically take a few months to achieve if you worked very hard. Even if you didn’t ultimately achieve your goal you would still be improving your health with every step. So figure out the steps that are needed with your particular goal, and get to work.

Think Positively

From the moment you have decided what your goal is to the day of completion, it’s important to think positively. Thinking positively can put you in a better frame of mind and encourage yourself to complete your goal. Even when the going gets tough, it’s important to keep a good attitude and think positively.

DealDash Helps: Teach Kids About Money

Teaching your little ones about saving money can be tricky. DealDash is here to help.

Teaching your kids about handling money responsibly is very important. With younger children, they may need visual examples to understand the basics of saving money. This is why it would be a great idea to help them start saving money in a piggy bank. Read on, for more information from DealDash.

See How Much!

There are several advantages to teaching younger kids to save money in a piggy bank. Namely, they will be able to literally see the amount of money that you have saved together grow right before their eyes. That way they can see that with some patience a nice amount of money can be saved. Growing money in a bank account is too abstract for most small children. Seeing those coins and bills pile up in their piggy bank is much more satisfying for them.

They’re the Boss

Another advantage to saving money with your younger child in a piggy bank is that they can learn the responsibility of being in charge of handling money. You can put the piggy bank in their room or a central location in your home and put your child in charge of putting money in the piggy bank. Small kids often feel like they don’t have many chances to be “in charge” of things in their life. Giving them the chance to be in charge of their own piggy bank will instill responsibility and pride.

The Value of Saving Up

You will also teach your child how important it is to save money when you want to make a large purchase. Maybe your child wants a new and more expensive toy than you are willing to buy. Or perhaps they would like to see a movie or go on a day trip somewhere fun? Talk with them about this and make a plan to set a goal to save for a purchase or event. Once they have completed saving and get to buy the item that they want they will see how it pays off to have savings.

Keep an Eye on the Bank

The only real downside to saving money in a piggy bank is that your child might be tempted to take money out to get something small that they want. You need to show them that this would be OK but they need to come to you and talk about what it is that they want. They should not just take money out of the piggy bank without asking. Again, it is a good lesson in the responsibility of handling money.

Thanks for Reading

Piggy banks can be a great teaching tool to help younger kids learn the benefits of saving money. So if you feel like your child is old enough to start learning this important lesson, you just may want to help them pick out a piggy bank the next time you’re out.

DealDash Helps Create a Calm Office Space

DealDash

Do you want to feel happier at more calm at work? If so, then read this article from DealDash.

Going to work can sometimes be stressful. However, if you can manage to turn your personal office space or cubicle into a place that you feel relaxed then your happiness and your productivity will increase. A stark environment with bare white walls does nothing to calm you or make you feel at ease. Try some of these tips from DealDash to improve your office life by creating a calming office space.

Plants, Plants Everywhere

There is nothing more calming or stress-reducing than some beautiful green plants in your work space. Plants can de-stress you, make you feel more relaxed, and look nice as well. I prefer real plants, but the artificial kind will work as well. If you aren’t a big fan of leafy green plants, then just try a small succulent on your desk or a small bouquet of flowers to cheer up your space.

Clean Up

If you have 22 different post-its stuck around your cubicle, along with various papers, pens, and half-eaten food (ew!) then it’s time to clean up your office space. Clean up is simple, just start with the things that can definitely be thrown away or recycled such as that half-eaten bagel and those lunch take-out menus that you can easily look up online if you need them. Once you have thrown away the trash, then tidy up the rest by organizing them nicely. You will feel much better about your space when it’s clean.

Adding a Touch of Home

Now that you have gotten some nice plants and cleared away your trash and recyclables, it’s time to decorate. Bring in a few framed photos of your family, friends, or pet. They will make you feel more calm and happy through the stress of the day. You can also bring in your favorite coffee mug, and even a foot massager for under your desk (Shhhh! I won’t tell!). If you are a fan of the new flameless LED candles you could bring in one of those as well. They typically have remotes so you can change their color throughout the day to suit your mood.

Music to My Ears

If you aren’t required to be on the phone most of the day, then bring in your favorite music. You can load up your iPod with different playlists to complement your mood. Make a “busy day” playlist with background music, and a “slow day” playlist with lots of upbeat songs to get you through a slow day. If you have your own office then a Bluetooth speaker might be the thing for you, however, if you are out in the “cubicle farm”, then you’ll need to get headphones or ear buds. If your job requires you to answer the phone then try just sticking in 1 ear bud so you can hear when the phone rings.

DealDash Rejuvenates Your Spirit

DealDash

It’s time to rejuvenate your spirit with a little help from DealDash. Here are some tips.

Are you stuck in a rut, in a lull, or in a bit of a funk? No problem, DealDash is here to help with some tips and tricks to rejuvenate your spirit. After you read these tips you’ll feel a bit of a burden lifted off of your shoulders. No one likes to be stuck in a rut, luckily DealDash is here to help. Read on for more information.

Rest Yourself

You’re probably not getting enough rest. Between work, the kids, housework, friends, and family obligations you probably have very little free time. This often leads to people staying up later at night because they feel like they don’t have any time for themselves. However, even though you might enjoy that extra hour or two of TV, FaceBook, or video games at night, your body would appreciate the sleep even more. You might not realize it at first, but your mind and body will work so much better when you get more sleep at night. Aim for at least 1 extra hour per night than you typically get now. More is better, of course.

Take a Stay-Cation

If extra sleep doesn’t make you feel rejuvenated, then take a stay-cation. Take a day or two off work and pamper yourself. Don’t think about work, enjoy your time at home. You can catch up on your reading, do some crafts, get a massage, give yourself a manicure, or anything else that you like to do that makes your mind and body feel refreshed. If you really want to maximize your stay-cation, take off on a Monday or Friday so you end up with a 3 day weekend. If you have the extra vacation days, take both! Make sure that you leave the chores and drudgery to someone else for those few days. Enlist your spouse and children to help out a little more than usual.

Don’t be so Hard on Yourself

Finally, stop being so hard on yourself. Everyone these days are really pushing themselves to the limit. Between all of your obligations that you have to do on a daily basis, it’s no wonder that you feel like you aren’t getting everything done that you need to do. Stop getting down on yourself for not being Superman or Superwoman, we are all human, and we should all be kind to ourselves.

DealDash Helps Baby Sleep at Night

DealDash

If you have a baby, you know how tough it is to get them to sleep. Here are some tips and tricks, from DealDash.

Getting your baby to sleep through the night can seem like a never ending struggle. Try as you might it often seems like there is just no way that the newest addition to your family is going to sleep all the way through until morning. It doesn’t have to be that way though, here are some tips for getting your baby to sleep through the night, from DealDash.

Don’t Rush Things

You should never rush your baby to sleep through the night. You will save yourself a lot of stress if you remember this. It can take a little time for your newborn to get their days and nights straight. This is called circadian rhythm, the body’s cellular time clock. Babies typically start out with their days and nights reversed but develop a natural sleep-wake cycle that is more in line with night and day. You need to take your time and ease your baby into sleeping until morning.

Daytime is For Eating

Making sure that your baby starts to know that day time is when they eat and night time is when they sleep will also be helpful in making sure that they sleep through the night. Definitely do not overfeed them during the day in an effort to make them sleep longer as that will just end up upsetting your baby’s stomach. Just make sure that you send them to bed with a full tummy. During the first few months of your baby’s life, they will most likely wake up to eat a few times during the night. This is normal, don’t be alarmed. If you have any concerns, please talk to your pediatrician.

Shhhhh! The Baby is Sleeping!

Creating the right environment for your baby to go to sleep is another thing that you can do to get them to sleep through the night. When it is time to go to bed make sure that you do things like turn the lights down as well as the television. You can choose to rock your baby to sleep or even play some soft and soothing music. There are mobiles that you can attach to the crib that spin and play music, or you can get a sound machine that plays projections on the ceiling. I love my noise machine projector, it has a timer on it that I can set for 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes.

Thanks for Reading

Finally, getting into a routine is one of the best things that you can do to promote a great environment for your baby to go to sleep and stay asleep all throughout the night. Before long both you and your child will be getting the rest that you need and deserve.

DealDash Calms First Day of School Nerves

DealDash

The first day of school can be scary. Luckily, DealDash is here to help with tips for your child.

The first day of school can be a nerve wracking experience for a lot of children, especially if it is their first year at school. As a parent, it can be difficult to know just how to calm the nervous feeling that their children are having. Here are a few tips to help calm your children so that they can have a great first day at school.

Create Some Excitement

The first thing that you should do is get them excited to be up in the morning. Let them know that going to school is a great and fun thing for them. Do this while they are getting ready. It will help to put them in a good mood and hopefully start to get rid of the nervousness that they may be feeling. If possible, tell them that you will let them choose dinner for that night. Tell them that you can’t wait to talk about their day with the whole family at dinner time.

Feed Them a Good Breakfast

It cannot be stressed enough how important a good and nutritious breakfast can be for your child. You need to give them a breakfast that is full of nutrients and protein. This is so that they will be able to get through the morning until their lunch time. Take the time to eat something with your child and continue to talk about what a good day that they will be having. Continue the excitement that you started creating before when they were getting ready. Make sure that you pack them a healthy lunch along with a little treat if they aren’t purchasing school lunch.

Compliments = Confident Children

Building your child’s confidence while they are getting ready for school will also help then to feel less nervous. Give them several compliments to help build up their confidence before they walk out the door for school. You also want to reassure them that although the school day can seem really long they will have you waiting to hear all about their day. Give them a compliment on their hair or outfit, as well as a compliment about their intelligence. It will have them feeling great and ready to take on the challenge of school.

Thanks for Reading

Going to school, especially on the first day can really intimidate kids so be sure to take the time to help them get rid of their nervousness. This way they can tackle the first day of school with confidence and of course a big smile.

DealDash Asks Questions Before Organizing

DealDash

Here are some things that you should ask yourself before organizing your home. Read on for tips from DealDash.

When you are looking to organize your home you really need to start with a plan. Of course, you could just jump in and get started, doing things here and there with no plan. However, you are not likely to get much done at all. Answer these four questions before you organize your home and you will be able to come up with a solid plan to get things done, with a little help from DealDash.

Why Do You Want to Organize Your Home?

Firstly, you’ll want to do is figure out why you are choosing this particular time to organize your home. Some people want to live in a home with less clutter while others want a home that is faster to clean. You need to know why you want to organize your home so you can make a solid plan to do just that.

If you are trying to get organized before a guest comes to visit, you might do better to use your time cleaning instead of organizing. You can get to the organizing after your guest leaves. Usually, things get dirtier as you are organizing, then you have to clean up after. If you’re on a short time schedule it might not make sense to do it at this time.

How am I Going to Organize My Home?

You need to make a good plan as to just how you are going to organize your home. For example, what do you plan to do with the things that you are going to get rid of in your home? Will you donate them? Do they need to be recycled or thrown away? This is an important part of the organizational process. Don’t skip this question, the answers will provide you some direction when it comes to organizing your home.

When am I Going to Organize My Home?

You also need to figure out when you are going to organize your home. You need to decide whether you are going to spend your weekends organizing or if you are going to take some time in the evenings after work to get organizational tasks done. This can help you to not procrastinate and get things done.

What in My Home Needs to be Organized?

Finally, you will need to figure out what exactly in your home needs to be organized. Does every room in your home need more organization or just a few? This can help you determine what exactly needs to be done and will give you a better idea about the time frame that you will need to get it completed.

Thanks For Reading

Getting all of these questions answered is going to go far in helping you develop a plan to get your home organized. Thank you for reading the newest DealDash article. I hope that you found these organizing tips helpful.

DealDash Deals with Stressful Situations

DealDash

Are you having trouble with stressful situations? Let DealDash give you some tips and tricks to help deal.

Sometimes bad things happen to good people, and when they do, you have to be prepared to deal with it. You can’t always prevent your problems, but you can be better prepared to cope with them. Here are some tips and ideas to help deal with stressful situations, from DealDash.

Have a “Happy Routine”

When things go wrong and start getting really stressful, it’s important to have a “happy routine” that you can do to make yourself feel better. This routine might be going to a particular place that makes you feel happy such as the beach or a park. Or it could be calling a friend or family member, or even going out and getting yourself a treat like a fancy coffee drink or an ice cream cone. Whatever your happy routine is, keep it in mind, and remember to do it when things start getting really stressful.

Remember the Good Times

If it seems like everything is going wrong for you, it might be hard to think about all of the good things. However, life is like a roller coaster, there are always going to be ups and downs. When you’re in one of the down times, don’t forget all of the good times that you’ve had in the past. Also, don’t forget to anticipate all of the good times that you will have again in the future. There are few bad things that will happen to you that won’t eventually get better. If you get laid-off from your job you’ll eventually get a new one. If you have a break-up, you’ll eventually find a new mate. If you total your car, eventually you will get a new one.

Also, don’t forget to anticipate all of the good times that you will have again in the future. There are few bad things that will happen to you that won’t eventually get better. Things might seem really bad at the moment, but in time, most things will get better.

Pamper Yourself

When things get too stressful, it’s time to bring out the pampering supplies. This can mean different things for different people. Some people love massages, other people love getting a manicure. Most people enjoy getting into comfy clothes and binge-watching their favorite TV series, and others love to bid on DealDash. DealDash Recipes: Baked Chicken Parm

DealDash

Baked chicken parm is one of my family’s favorite dinners. Here is a recipe, from DealDash.

Do you like chicken parm? I used to order it in the restaurant all the time, I didn’t realize how easy that it was to make at home! When you make it at home, not only is it less expensive, you can also make it a bit healthier than they make it at the Italian restaurant. This version is baked, so there is no frying involved. And I promise – it’s just as delicious, maybe even more so! However, be sure to convince someone else to clean up after you’ve cooked, your pan will need a good scrubbing after you’ve made this delightful dinner. Read on for the recipe, from DealDash.

DealDash’s Fun Ideas for the Weekend

DealDash

Hello, weekend! It’s Saturday morning, do you have anything fun planned? If not, read on for some tips and ideas from DealDash.

What’s your favorite thing to do on weekends? Typically my family does something with the kids in the afternoon, then we go out to dinner at night. It’s fun for them, and it’s fun for me because I don’t have to cook and clean up two days per week! There are still a few weekends left before my kids go back to school, so we are going to pack in some fun activities. If you need some suggestions to get out of the house, here are some suggestions from DealDash.

Nature Walks

My family loves to be outside, but since the baby and I have very pale skin we are quite sensitive to the sun. We can get our “outdoors fix” by going on nature walks. The trees provide a nice cover from the sun, the kids get to look at cute furry animals, and we all get some exercise. Nature walks are one of those wonderful times that the kids can learn things without even realize that they are learning! This isn’t so important for my daughter who loves to learn, but my son is very “anti-school”, so it’s great for him to learn without realizing he’s doing it!

The Beach (with a Tent)

My husband and older kids love the beach. Me, not so much because of the aforementioned sun aversion. However, since we love doing things as a family, occasionally we will go to the beach. There is a lovely island beach that’s just a ferry ride away, and as luck would have it, they rent sun cabanas! So if you are sensitive to the sun like me, or have small kids that you don’t want in the harsh rays, don’t despair! You can purchase your own mini sun cabana online and bring it with you, or you can rent one. Since I have discovered the sun cabana, the summer has gotten a lot more fun.

Street Festivals

Depending on where you live, you might be able to catch a street festival going on this weekend. Where I live, in Boston, there are many small towns around me, and I am typically able to find a street festival to attend every weekend. There are music festivals, craft festivals, ethnic food festivals, kid’s festivals, and so many more! My personal favorite is the craft festival, but my husband loves the ethnic food festivals. There’s something for everyone when you go to a street festival!

DealDash Back to School Tips for Success

DealDash

Are you ready for back to school? Here are some tips for success from DealDash.

Whether you are ready for it or not it is soon going to be time for back to school. While it can be difficult to let go of all the fun that summer can offer, you will want to transition as smoothly as possible into the fall months when school approaches. Here are four tips that will help set you up for back to school success, from DealDash.

Develop and Keep a Routine

Make sure to develop a routine that you can stick to during the school year. This will assist your children in being as successful as possible. Knowing what comes next is something that will really help children as they can avoid the stress of the unknown. This is especially true for younger children who are new at this whole “school thing.”

Stick to the Rules

You also want to have a solid set of rules in place when it is time for your kids to return to school. You will need to set down rules for television time as well as phone and game time. Also, come up with some rules in regard to doing homework so that your children know what is expected of them. Also, be sure that there are reasonable punishments for disobeying the rules. Make sure that your kids understand that there will be consequences, and you will punish them if it’s necessary. If possible, have the “punishment fit the crime,” such as if your child doesn’t do their homework when they get home like they are supposed to, then they have to do an extra homework page.

Time Management is Your Friend

Excellent time management is going to be your friend when it comes to getting your kids off to school every day. You need to make sure that you can implement a schedule for getting ready for school as well as one for the evening hours. It should be easy to follow so that you can help your kids get all of their tasks done with the least amount of stress. It’s also important to have an easy to follow routine in case you need to get a babysitter for the evening. Keeping your kids on their schedule is important for both you and your children.

Healthy Meals

Planning healthy meals is also going to help everyone be successful when it comes to back to school. Planning healthy meals takes less time than you would think and your family will be thankful for the extra time that planning ahead will give them. You will also appreciate the benefits of eating healthy, which leads to happy and healthy kids.

Thanks for Reading

Getting back to school can seem like a stressful event however with a little planning you can make a seamless transition into this yearly event.

DealDash on the Benefits of Head Massage

DealDash

There are many health benefits to head massage. Here are a few, from DealDash.

Hair growth, improved relaxation, and increased blood flow are only a few of the great benefits of having a head and scalp massage. Personally, whenever I go and get a regular massage I always request that they spend a little extra time on my head and scalp. This not only feels great but I also enjoy the added health benefits that it provides. Please read on for more information, from DealDash.

Scalp Massage Makes You Happy

You might think that I am just exaggerating a little because I love getting a scalp massage, but it’s actually been scientifically proven that scalp massages increase the serotonin production in your body. In case you weren’t aware, serotonin is a brain chemical, and regulates your anxiety, happiness, and mood. Scalp massage, in turn, can help you with depression, anxiety, and also relaxes you. Not only that, it feels great!

Good for Your Hair

Massaging your scalp should be an everyday thing! This is because it gives your scalp extra stimulation and more blood flow to the area. This makes for a healthy scalp, which is important for hair growth. Not only is a healthy scalp important for hair growth, it’s also important for the health and appearance of your hair as well. Scalp massage can be particularly helpful if you suffer from dandruff or have a dry scalp.

Goodbye Headaches

Another great benefit of a head and scalp massage is reduced headaches. If you are attempting to do a head massage to relieve a tension headache, be sure to start at the base of the skull, just above the neck. This is the place where you can accumulate a lot of tension during the day, especially if you spend a lot of time on the computer. It’s important to use firm pressure, and spend extra time around the hairline as well. If you really want headache relief, I suggest that you include a facial massage as well. This is excellent for your skin as well as relieving headache pressure.

Reduce Your Blood Pressure

As if the above reasons weren’t enough to get a head and scalp massage, here’s one more: it can reduce your blood pressure as well! Massages, in general, are wonderful for reducing stress and blood pressure. Studies show that getting regular massages can greatly reduce your blood pressure due to lowered levels of stress. Basically, there are no downsides of getting a head and scalp massage, only benefits!

DealDash Helps: Survive a Toddler Tantrum

dealdash

Have a toddler that’s getting you down with tantrums? Follow these tips from DealDash to help tame tantrums.

Many parents worry about taking their toddler out. They know they will run the risk of their child throwing a tantrum. Tantrums are common in younger children. You want to make sure that you are equipped to deal with them while you are both at home as well as out in public. Here are a few tips to help you survive a toddler tantrum, from DealDash.

Have a Problem?

The first thing that you should do when your toddler is throwing a tantrum is to see what is causing this behavior. Typically, if they are having a tantrum it means that they have a problem. Is your child hungry or tired? Has something happened to upset them somehow? You what to find out exactly what is causing your toddler to have a tantrum so you will be better equipped to diffuse the situation.

Keep yourself calm

You need to keep your composure when your toddler is throwing a tantrum. If you get upset then it will only make your child more upset than they already are. Making sure that you stay calm is going to be a huge help in calming your child. Realize that if you yell at them for being upset it will not help calm them down. Yelling is not a good solution for dealing with toddlers unless it is to stop them from doing something dangerous such as touching a hot stove or running into the street.

Distract Your Little Darling

Finding a distraction to occupy your toddler’s mind is also going to help when you are looking for ways to help them calm down when they are having a tantrum. You want to find something that will soothe them so that they will hopefully calm down and move on to something else other than whatever issue that is currently upsetting them. Doing something as simple as holding your toddler and hugging them can be enough to distract them from their tantrum. Some people call this a “time in” rather than a time out.

Thanks for Reading

Thanks for reading the newest DealDash article on helping your toddler when they’re having a tantrum. A toddler throwing a tantrum can be a scary thought to have to deal with. However, if you are well prepared you will see that it is something that is simpler to deal than you might think. If you are prepared to deal with a toddler tantrum you will find that doing simple things like going to the grocery store will be a lot easier.

DealDash’s Habits for Success

DealDash

Everyone wants to be successful. There are a few habits that you can develop to help. Read on for more information from DealDash.

Do you feel like you could be more successful in your daily life? Or perhaps there’s a certain area in your life that you would especially like to improve upon. There are some habits that you can work on developing that will help you find more success in your life. Be sure to read this article from DealDash to get more information.

Wake Up Earlier

I know, I know, no one wants to get up earlier! However, if you feel like you don’t have enough time in a day, then the thing that makes the most sense is to get up earlier! You can get your day started sooner so that you can work on your goals for the day. Rising earlier also helps you to get your tasks done because no one else will be up and around to distract you.

Do The Same Thing Every Day

Another way that you can find more success is to do the same thing every day. If you can make a list of all of the things that you need to get done on a daily basis and put them in the order that makes things the most efficient it will really help. Once you know the things that need to be done every day, and the order in which they should be done, then do it! Do it every day until it just becomes your natural routine. You’ll probably find that you will have a little extra time to spare at the end of the day, because once you are used to doing the same things at the same time every day then things will run more smoothly and quickly for you.

Set Goals for Yourself

Setting goals for yourself can be very helpful in having more success in your daily life. Your goals can vary according to your needs, just be sure that you clearly write them out. Once you have accomplished one of the goals on your list cross it out and feel good about yourself. Setting and accomplishing goals is something that successful people excel at doing. Be sure that these goals are reasonable, however, because there’s nothing more demoralizing than setting a goal that is too high for your to reach. Setting and accomplishing small goals will lead to more difficult goals in time. Focus on one at a time, and you will find success.

Also, that there is a reasonable way to deal with their feelings.

Check Out Their Progress

You should help your child focus on all of the progress that they have made to get rid of their frustration. Let them know that it is ok to be frustrated but there are very constructive ways to deal with your frustration. Tell them this is so you don’t end up doing something negative to deal with frustration. Let them know that it is great that they are able to deal with things on their own but also that it is ok to ask for help as well.

DealDash Gets Kids Back Into School Mode

DealDash

Kids are still in a summer frame of mind. How do we get them back into school mode? Let DealDash help.

Earlier this week we talked about getting kids back on a school time schedule. (Click right here to read it if you missed it!) However, even if you get their schedule back on track they still might not be in a school frame of mind. Luckily, there are a few simple things that you can do to help. Read on, for more tips and tricks from DealDash.

Do a Little School Work

Some kids like doing workbooks and many others don’t like it. However, if you want to get them thinking about school, then it’s time to get one. They have workbooks for all ages at the bookstore. They even have them at the dollar store for younger kids. If you can manage to get your kids to do a page or two of school work every day, then they will be better prepared to head back to school.

If your kids really dislike workbooks, or if you can’t find one that suits them, then hit the books. Get your kids to read every day. If they are younger then have them read a story book every day with your help. If they are older, then have them read a chapter of a longer book every day. This will get their brains back into learning mode.

Go Back to School Shopping

I confess, I didn’t like school very much when I was a kid. However, one of my favorite activities was back to school shopping. I loved picking out my folders, notebooks, and other school supplies.

Other than actual school supplies, I loved picking out a new backpack, outfit and new shoes for the first day of school. There’s just something about fresh new clothes and school supplies that gets you in the mood to go back to school.

Get Together With Friends

There are still a few weekends left before school starts. Why not invite a few school friends over to play so they can renew their relationship before school starts? I know that a big part of not being ready to start school again can come from anxiety and worry that they won’t have any friends in their new class. Inviting some old friends from last school year can help, and show your kids that even if they don’t know anyone in their new class they will still have friends to ride the bus with and sit with at lunchtime and recess.

DealDash’s Interesting Uses for Toothpaste

DealDash

Other than cleaning your teeth, toothpaste has many uses. Read on for some interesting ways to use toothpaste, from DealDash.

Of course you brush your teeth with toothpaste, but there are dozens and dozens of other uses for the minty paste. Keep in mind that the uses that I am going to mention down below don’t need to be done with expensive toothpaste. Save the $5 per tube toothpaste for your teeth, and get the generic $1 type for these other uses. Some of these uses only take a small amount of toothpaste. You can use up that travel-sized toothpaste that your dentist gave you at your last appointment. Read on for more information from DealDash.

Clean Your Shoes

That’s right, toothpaste makes an excellent cleaner for the scuff marks on your shoes. When your white soled sneakers get those annoying black scuff marks, just whip out your tube of travel toothpaste and scrub those scuffs right off. You can use an old toothbrush or a q-tip to apply the toothpaste and scrub in a circular motion on the scuff.

Polish Your Jewelry

Before trying to polish your precious heirlooms with toothpaste, be sure to try a hidden spot first. You wouldn’t want to accidentally damage your grandma’s jewels! With that said, however, toothpaste can make an excellent jewelry cleaner. Just put a little bit on the jewelry, and rub in small, circular motions with a dry cloth. Rinse with cool, clear water afterward. Your jewelry should look bright, shiny, and new!

Fix Your Music and Movies

If you haven’t gone completely digital and still have CDs and DVDs laying around, you can fix their small scratches with toothpaste. Squeeze a small amount onto the scratched surface. Using a soft cloth, rub the toothpaste over the entire CD, moving the cloth in circles. FInally, wipe any leftover toothpaste off with a damp cloth.

Help Minor Burns

This isn’t meant for major burns, of course, but if you have a small burn you can use toothpaste to take the sting out. Just smooth on a thin layer of toothpaste and your burn will be feeling better in no time. I find this little trick to be effective on my accidental burns I’ve gotten by touching the toaster oven as I’m trying to get the tray out. I should really be more careful. Until then, I’ll be using toothpaste on my minor burns.

DealDash Helps: Boost Productivity

DealDash

Boosting productivity can take some effort but is worth it in the end. Here are some tips and ideas from DealDash to get started.

You may or may not be thinking of your productivity during your day, but believe me, it will help. Boosting your productivity can not only make your work, chores, and other tasks go more smoothly, but it can also make your day go more smoothly and take a little bit of stress away. When you first strive to boost your productivity you might run into a few roadblocks. Don’t worry, DealDash is here to help guide you. Read on for more information.

Prepare for the Week Ahead

Most people take it easy on the weekends and do as little as possible unless it’s fun. This makes for a great weekend but a harder work week. If you just take a few hours out of your weekend to prepare for the week ahead then you will enjoy the work week a little more than before.

For example, many people like to do meal prep in advance. This can take a few hours, depending on what you are preparing. However, if you can prepare food for your weekdays so you don’t have to do it after work you will have such a better week. I recommend that you make a few pans of lasagna on the weekend. You can cut them into single serve portions and freeze them. Whenever you want some delicious homemade lasagna all you have to do is reheat it in the microwave or toaster oven. There are many other meals that you can prepare on the weekend that will make your dinners during the week a lot easier.

Lists, Lists, and More Lists

I will admit, I am a HUGE fan of lists. I love to make all types of lists: to-do, grocery,  ideas, anything! Making lists can help you learn how to prioritize things. If you make a list of all of the things that you should get done today, then put them in order of importance. Once you get the important things done then you can work on the less-important things. Lists are important because they can help you plan things out to be more productive than you would be by just thinking of what you need to do.

Put Down the Phone

One of the biggest offenders in stealing your productivity is your phone. All of the text alerts, notifications from apps, FaceBook alerts, and everything else makes you pick up your phone far too often when you are trying to get things done. If you have made a list like I suggested previously, and are checking things off as you go, then you can reward yourself with phone time after you have completed the most important items. Until you have your items completed, then your phone needs to stay out of sight. Trust me, it’s hard at first, but you’ll get used to it, and complete your tasks even faster.

DealDash Helps: Essential School Skills

DealDash

School is opening back up soon. Here are some essential school skills that your child needs, from DealDash.

Summer is ending soon and parents are thinking about their kids going back to school. They are wondering things like how their child will do academically. You should not worry as your child’s teacher will have that covered. What you should help your child do is learn some essential skills that will assist them in having the best school year that they can. Read on, for more information from DealDash.

Resiliency is Key

You will need to teach them resiliency. Basically, you want them to be able to bounce back easily from a difficult situation. For example, they might have gotten into a fight with a good friend or possibly have not done so well on a test. No matter what the situation, teach your child to be resilient. Show them how to be able to react well to any situation that may happen to them. Social situations can be especially tough on kids these days.

Take Responsibility

You also need to teach your child to take responsibility for their own actions. No matter if it is concerning their school work or their relationships with their peers. Let them know how important that it is to be able to take responsibility for everything that they do not only while they are in school but at home as well. People who take responsibility for their own actions, even when they are negative actions, get more respect.

Problem-Solving

Problem-solving is another essential skill that you need to teach your child this coming school year. You need them to be able to identify issues that they may be having and how to properly deal with them. A child that has good problem-solving skills is going to have a much more productive year than a child who cannot properly deal with problems that may come up during the school year. Problem-solving is a skill that will serve your child well when they are in school, and continue to serve them into adulthood.

DealDash’s Fun Baby Shower Tips

DealDash

Many women enjoy having a baby shower. If you’re the host, you will appreciate these tips from DealDash to make your party a success.

If you have been tasked with planning a baby shower for a friend or family member, you’ll want to make the day as special as possible. The following are a few tips, tricks, and ideas that will assist you in doing just that. If you need some help throwing a baby shower, never fear – DealDash is here.

Plan Ahead – But Not Too Far!

Traditionally, most baby showers are not done until the seventh or eighth month of pregnancy. However, you still need to plan well ahead. You will want to make sure that you send out invitations at least three weeks before the event. This is so as many people as possible will have the opportunity to attend. You don’t want to send the invitations out too far in advance, though. In this “get it now” society, people tend to not want to plan their social calendars more than a few weeks ahead.

When getting ready to send out invitations you will want to make sure that you find a date that will work well for the most people as possible. This way you know that you will have plenty of friends and family in attendance for the expectant mother’s special day. Baby showers are typically held on a Saturday or a Sunday. Be sure to talk to the people closest to the new mommy such as her mom and sisters to make sure that they will be able to attend on the date that you have chosen.

Finding a Location

After you have a date set for the shower you will need to find the best possible place to hold the event. You need to find a central location for most all of your guests so it will be as simple as possible for people to attend. The location can be a rented hall for a large shower, a room in a restaurant, or even just your house or apartment if that is more convienent. Some people like to take a non-traditional route and have their baby shower at a park or other outdoors location. It’s up to you and what you think that the new mom will enjoy, as well as your budget.

Does the Shower Have a Theme?

Next, you will then need to figure out the perfect theme for the shower. For exampl, will you be revealing the gender of the baby at the shower or will you be planning a shower based on the gender of the baby? There are many themes that you could select from that would be an excellent choice for making it a memorable day. If the parents have declined to know the gender of the baby, no problem! There are many themes that work well for a boy or a girl such as “zoo” or “ocean” theme.

Want to Make This a Surprise?

One thing that you may want to consider when planning the perfect baby shower is whether or  not you want to have a surprise baby shower. This can be an a fantastic way to make it a memorable occasion. However, don’t do this if you are unsure how the new mom will feel about a surprise. Some people really hate surprises. If you aren’t sure how she might feel about it being a surprise, don’t do it!

Thanks for Reading

Sticking with these tips can help you hold a baby shower that the expectant mother will remember for a long time to come. Thanks for reading the newest DealDash article! Be sure to come back every day for new articles on this blog as well as on our sister blog, DealDash Tips. DealDash Gets Your Kids School Schedule on Track

DealDash

School will be back in session in a few weeks. Get your kid’s schedule back on track with help from DealDash.

If your kids are anything like mine, they have been staying up later at night and sleeping later in the morning this summer. That’s perfectly fine and normal, but with school starting again in a few weeks it’s time to think about getting their sleeping and waking schedule back on track. Read on for more information, from DealDash.

Start Gradually

The reason that I am writing about this subject now when there are a few weeks of summer vacation still left, is because it’s best to adjust their schedule gradually. The more gradually you adjust their schedule, the less cranky they will be in the morning. Personally, I plan on adjusting their schedule 15 minutes at a time. My kids are off of their schedule by about an hour, so each week before school starts I plan on moving their bedtime and waking time up by 15 minutes. They will hardly notice the difference and will make the transition go much more smoothly. If your kids are off their schedule by hours, then you might have to do it by 30-minute increments instead.

How Much Sleep Do They Actually Need?

Depending on the ages of your child they will need different amounts of sleep. For example, my elementary school-aged children need a lot more sleep than my college-bound niece. According to the experts, young kids in elementary school should be getting 9-11 hours of sleep nightly, while teenagers ages 13-17 need about 8-10 hours. Younger adults aged 18-22 are recommended to receive about 7-9 hours. Of course, these are just guidelines. I have a 5-year-old who hasn’t taken a nap since she was 2, stays up late then wakes up earlier than the rest of the household.

DealDash Sleep Tips

Do your kids find it hard to go to sleep earlier at night? They might have a few habits in the daytime that are contributing to their restlessness at night. One of the biggest causes of restlessness at night is having too much screen time close to bedtime. Electronic devices such as phones, iPads, and laptops emit a light that “wakes up” your brain. If your child is using these devices too close to bedtime and is having trouble falling asleep, then I recommend shutting them off at least an hour before bed.

Another culprit that might be affecting your child’s sleep is caffeine. Older teens might be drinking too much coffee, but even younger kids might be getting too much caffeine through soda or food that they are eating. Try to observe what your kids are eating between lunch time and bedtime to see if there is anything with caffeine such as chocolate. When in doubt, have your kids drink extra water! It won’t hurt, and it will probably help!

Keeping Your Teeth Healthy With DealDash

DealDash

Keeping your teeth healthy and strong is a great goal. Let DealDash keep those pearly whites healthy.

Having a beautiful smile typically means having nice teeth, and the way to achieve this is by taking care of them. There are a few key aspects of having healthy teeth, and DealDash would like to explain them to you. Read on for more information.

Brush Them, of Course!

Ideally, you should brush your teeth after every meal. However, if you work outside of the home then that usually isn’t possible. At the least, you should brush your teeth in the morning when you wake, and in the evening before bedtime. Each of these teeth brushing sessions should be no shorter than 2 minutes in duration. Make sure that you get each and every tooth, and brush all sides of them – front, back, and biting surface.

Electric toothbrushes have really come a long way in the past few years. You should make it a priority to win one from DealDash. Electric toothbrushes do a much better job of brushing your teeth than you can manually.

Get Regular Dental Care

Few people enjoy going to the dentist, but if you want to keep your teeth in tip-top shape then you need to make the appointment. You should see a dentist for cleanings every 6 months. This is important to do because the dentist will scrape off the accumulated plaque that your toothbrush just can’t get. Secondly, dental cleanings are important because your dentist will be able to spot teeny, tiny cavities as they are just forming. Fixing a tiny cavity is significantly easier and less painful and time-consuming than fixing a big one.

Watch What You Eat and Drink

Drinking water is so healthy for many parts of the body, teeth included. Water is healthy for the gums, and can also help wash away small food particles that are stuck in your teeth.

There are many things on the “drink sparingly” list, such as sugary sodas, juices, and sweet tea. These drinks have so much sugar that can help cavities form on the teeth. Other drinks such as coffee and wine will stain the teeth, so be sure to rinse your mouth out after drinking them if you want to keep your teeth their whitest.

Everyone knows that eating candy is bad for your teeth, but what is healthy for your teeth? Crunchy vegetables! Vegetables such as raw carrots and celery, cucumbers, and broccoli are excellent for your dental health.

Thanks For Reading

Keeping your teeth healthy does not need to give you a headache. In fact, if you have a regular schedule of oral care it will make life much better. DealDash is here to help.

DealDash Helps: Heal Your Rough Feet

DealDash

Your feet are one of your most important parts of your body. Take care of them with a little help from DealDash.

Your feet carry you from here to there without complaint. Why not do them a favor and take good care of them by healing the rough and dry parts? They will not only feel better but look nicer as well. Here are some tips and ideas from DealDash to keep your feet looking and feeling their best.

Exfoliate Those Puppies

Exfoliating your feet is one of the easiest ways to keep your feet nice and smooth instead of scaly and rough. Exfoliation can be done in quite a few different ways. Firstly, you’ll want to be sure that your feet have been softened up with water. This can be done by soaking them in a bowl or bucket of water, in the bathtub, or even just by waiting until the end of your shower.

Firstly, you’ll want to be sure that your feet have been softened up with water. This can be done by soaking them in a bowl or bucket of water, in the bathtub, or even just by waiting until the end of your shower.

Next, use your exfoliator of choice. You can use a pumice stone, a stiff brush, or even a cream exfoliator. Personally, I like the sugar based ones, because they dissolve in the water. If your feet need some extra TLC, then you can get one of the walnut based scrubs, instead.

Moisturizer Isn’t Just for Faces

Exfoliation will help take away the rough spots, but to keep them smooth for longer you’ll want to moisturize them daily. The best time to moisturize them is at night before bed. They even sell special socks that have a gel-like liner that will keep your feet moisturized all night.

The type of moisturizer that you use on your feet isn’t really important unless you happen to have a foot condition or diabetes. If you have either a foot condition or diabetes you need to consult your doctor before exfoliating or moisturizing your feet. If your feet are free of a pre-existing condition, then you can use anything from baby lotion to face lotion to body lotion to special foot lotion. They have special lotion for the feet that is scented like peppermint and is very soothing. However, any type of moisturizer is better than none on your feet, so feel free to use what you have.

DealDash Helps You Get Softer Hair

DealDash

Getting softer hair might sound difficult but with these tips from DealDash, it’s simple! Read on for more information.

Having soft hair is something that most people with long hair aspire to – but how can you accomplish it? There are quite a few tips and tricks that can transform your hair from dry and scratchy to soft and luscious. If you follow these simple ideas from DealDash then you’ll have softer hair in no time!

Clip the Ends

Having split ends is one of the major indicators that you have dry hair. Having split ends is very common, especially if you have been trying to grow out your hair and not getting regular haircuts. Split ends aren’t a problem, a quick trim at the salon will get them in shape. If you have a friend or family member who is willing to clip your split ends, even better! Since they will only be taking off teeny, tiny amounts of hair, it won’t be noticeable at all if it isn’t perfect.

Don’t Wash Your Hair as Often

If you are washing your hair every day, then you’re washing it way too often. Unless you have gotten something in your hair such as chlorine from the pool, food from a small child, or if you were sweating profusely, then don’t wash it every day. Every 2nd or 3rd day is much healthier for your hair, and it will save you time in the shower as well. If you can’t stand the thought of not at least rinsing your hair every day, then go ahead, but try not to add any shampoo. If you’d like to wash your hair with conditioner only, that will work, too!

Deep Condition Your Hair

Since you’re saving money on shampoo and time by not spending as much time washing your hair, then you can deep condition! Deep conditioner is readily available at any big box store, pharmacy, or salon. They are all fairly similar and are applied in a similar way. After shampooing your hair, then apply the deep conditioner, starting at the ends. You don’t even need to go all the way up to the roots. After applying the deep conditioner put on a plastic cap. Leave the cap on for a minimum of 5 minutes, however, 10, 15, or even 20 minutes is much better. After the time is up, rinse hair normally. You’ll be left with extremely soft and silky hair.

DealDash Helps Families Mediate Problems

DealDash

There will always be small family conflicts no matter how much you love each other. Here are some tips to help from DealDash.

Conflict mediation is a very important skill to have in a family, especially those who share a household. It allows everyone in the family to resolve any issues they have amongst each other, and it establishes a setting in which everyone is comfortable with speaking about their issues with one another. I’m sure you want to know how you can learn these skills to bring into your household. Don’t worry, DealDash is here to help. Read on for more information on solving family conflicts.

Don’t Take Sides in Mediation

The first thing you want to know when it comes to conflict mediation and resolution is to understand that you cannot take sides. Both parties involved are going to want you on their side, which can lead to making things worse. What you want to do is just listen, and understand the situation. Let both parties who have a disagreement speak their mind without interruption.

Ask Questions

Once you’ve let both parties speak, you can ask them questions like “how important is this to you?” or “will this matter in a day?” Questions like these can help open people’s eyes, and allow them to see past their initial anger or frustration. You want both parties to feel like they are both working towards a common goal, together.

Let the Problem Rest

You can also just give the situation a little time. To the disagreeing parties, it may seem like this is the one big argument that could tear the family apart. Luckily, however, with time, everyone involved will come to understand that the situation may not be that severe. People, especially family, tend to say things they don’t really mean in the heat of the moment. The best thing you can do is realize that what they’re saying is just affected by their current emotions and that they probably don’t really mean it.

Work it Out Outside

Another idea that might help resolve the problem is getting out in the fresh air for some exercise. A family walk, bike ride, swim, or game of badminton outside can help lighten the situation. This idea works especially well if the parties involved in the conflict are younger. Arranging it so they are on the same team or working towards a common goal can go a long way in strengthening their connection.

Bring in the Professionals

If your at-home conflict mediation doesn’t solve the problem, then it’s time to get some professional help. Booking a visit or two with a family counselor or mediator can really help the situation. It’s always helpful to get a neutral person’s opinion, especially when that person is a professional. With any luck, your problems will be solved and you can all move on as a happy family.

DealDash: Ready for School – Easier Homework Time

DealDash

Summer vacation is coming quickly to an end. Time to start thinking about school and homework, with DealDash.

Let’s face it no one really likes homework. In fact, many kids struggle with home work and getting it done so that they can hand in their assignments on time at school. Now that the first day of school is coming up soon you’ll want to start thinking about homework. Here are a few things that you can do as a parent to help make homework go a little easier for your child, with a little help from DealDash.

Ask the Teacher for Help

You can talk to your child’s teacher. Let them know if your child is having difficulty with homework and check on how they are doing in school. They might have been too shy to ask the teacher for extra help. You just may find that the teacher recommends things like getting a tutor or getting some extra help in school so that they will understand their homework better.

Let Them Take Breaks

If your child has a lot of homework you need to make sure that you allow them to take breaks. A 10-15 minute break after each homework subject is sufficient. You also want to teach them what an appropriate break would be, such as going outside for some fresh air. You might also suggest getting a healthy snack such as fruit as opposed to sitting down in front of the television for their break.

Try to Make it Fun

Trying to make homework fun is another thing that you can do to help make homework easier for your child. For example, there are countless videos on YouTube with different school subjects that make learning a lot of fun. This is a great option especially if your child is more of a visual learner. There are also online games that can teach and entertain at the same time.

Give Them Small Rewards

Be sure to reward your child’s good work. If your child has done well with getting their homework done all week then plan a fun activity that you can do together. This way your child will be excited to learn more and continue to do well with their homework. Younger children, especially, enjoy a visual reminder such as a chart that they can put a sticker on when their homework has been completed.

Thanks for Reading

Homework is not really fun for anyone. However, it does help your child progress academically. If you are able to help your child with their homework completed, school will become a lot easier for your child. You just may find they will do even better than expected in school.

DealDash: 10 Quick Tips to Home Organization

DealDash

Hate clutter? Here are 10 quick tips to get your home organized, from DealDash.

Keeping your home organized can be a daunting task, especially if you have children. It does however not need to be this way. With these ten tips you will have your home organized in no time at all. Read on for more information, from DealDash.

1- Start Small

Starting small is definitely the way to go as if you try to do everything all at once you are going to get overwhelmed and get nothing done.

2- Make a Plan

Assess the situation so that you know exactly what you need to get done. Just diving right into the job with no organization is not a good plan as you are likely to get little done is the way of organizing your home

3- Don’t Go Alone! Get the Family Involved

Getting your family involved in your organizing your home. This is a great way to teach them responsibility for taking care of their things.

4- Room By Room Makes it Easier

Going room by room is going to help you keep track of what has been done and what needs to be done and again it will save you from being overwhelmed.

5- Do Some Research on Organizing

Doing a little research can also be helpful when you want to get some more organization in your home. You can visit websites that deal with home organization so you can see hat tips you can apply to your own home.

6- Get Your Supplies Ready Beforehand

Making sure that you will have all the needed supplies for organizing your home is another smart thing to do so that you will be able to complete all of the organizational tasks that you want to do to get your home organized.

7- Make it a Game

If you have been paying attention to these tips, then you are planning on getting your family involved. If you have kids, then making organizing a game can make them more eager to help you. Take a few clothes baskets and decide what you want in each one. Let the kids “play basketball” and throw the things in the baskets.

8- Listen to Music

There’s no need for organizing to be silent drudgery! Make an “organization playlist” on YouTube or Itunes. Fill it with upbeat and dancy songs. It will make your organizing go by much faster, I promise.

9- Do it When You’re Fresh

Don’t wait until the end of the day to try and get things organized. If you have time during the workday, then do it then. If you work a regular 9-5, then save the organizing for a weekend day. And remember, it’s much easier to do if you have been trying to keep things in their places all along.

10- Don’t Procrastinate, Get it Done

The best tip that you can remember for getting your home organized is to just make sure that you complete the work. Procrastination is your worst enemy when it comes to getting your home organized. So once you have done your research and you have all the needed supplies you just need to get the work done.
