DealDash Packing Tips for a Beach Trip

DealDash

Packing for a beach trip is easy, but you don’t want to forget any of the key components. Here are some tips from DealDash to pack for the beach.

When the weather is warmer, you can find everyone at the beach. The beach is the perfect place to spend time during the summer.  You can get a tan, build a sand castle, or go for a swim. Regardless of the reasons why you want to go to the beach, you need to be prepared.  There are some things that you must bring to the beach in order to enjoy your trip, from DealDash.

Swimsuits

Swimsuits are the number one thing that you need for a beach trip, whether you are going for a swim or not.   You should travel with at least two swimsuits one to wear and one that is dry. Swimsuits will keep you nice and cool when you are at the beach. If you are male short or swim trunks will do just fine.

Beach Towel

Everyone needs a beach towel for the beach. A beach towel will help you dry yourself off, and you can lay it in the sand so that you will have somewhere to sit. When you are looking for a beach towel, it is best to go to places like Wal-Mart or Target and get a set of beach towels.

Sunscreen

Sunscreen is a very important item that you must have when you go to the beach. You need a sunscreen that will protect your skin from the heat. Make sure that the sunscreen has SPF 30 or higher. When you order sunscreen online, you will save a lot of money compared to buying sunscreen in the store. Don’t forget to re-apply your sunscreen every few hours.

DealDash Prepares for a Flight

DealDash

No matter if you love or hate flying, most of us have to sometimes. Here are some tips from DealDash to prepare for your next flight.

Going on a vacation or a business trip can be a very exciting (and sometimes stressful) experience, especially if you are flying. Going on a flight can be scary at first especially if this is your first time taking an airplane. You have to be prepared for a flight because you will be far away from home. Some people don’t know what to bring on a flight or how to prepare for one. Here are 3 tips to help you prepare for a flight, from DealDash.

1 – Figure Out the Rules

No airline is exactly the same. There are different rules and regulations that you have to follow depending on the type of airline you choose. Make sure that you have a clear understanding of what you can bring aboard. It is important to make sure that you carry all liquids in a carry-on.

If you have an item in your carry on that is not allowed on the plane, you have to put it in your luggage. If you don’t follow these rules you might have to throw away your liquids. In the case of items not allowed on the plane such as a pocketknife or scissors, you might have to either throw them away or mail them back to yourself at your own expense.

3 – Make Sure You Have Everything

When you go on a flight you can’t run back home and get the things that you have forgotten. You have to make sure that you have everything that you need before you board your flight. Make sure that you have your necessities such as underwear, jackets, and feminine products if you are a woman, and all of the toiletries that you need.

Depending on where you are traveling to, sometimes it makes sense to buy some of these items when you arrive instead of bringing them with you on the plane. Of course, if you are going somewhere that you are unfamiliar with, then it’s better safe than sorry – bring everything that you think that you might need with you on the plane.

If you need luggage, carry on bags, or toiletry bags DealDash has you covered. They stock all of these items as well as purses, laptop bags, duffle bags, backpacks, and more. If you are planning on buying a new bag, check DealDash first.

3 – Arrive on Time

When you are taking a flight, it is important to be there on time, so you won’t miss your flight. You should arrive at least two hours early. This will give you time to call a cab if you have to, and get through traffic. Arriving early is also important just in case any emergencies may come up. Yes, it might be boring to sit around in an airport if you arrive too early. However, that is better than the alternative of being late and missing your flight.

Thanks for Reading

These are really just a few of the things that you should do to prepare for your flight. Preparing for a flight can be a stressful situation. These tips will help you have a smooth and easy flight to your destination.

DealDash: Get Through Airport Security Quickly

DealDash

Getting through airport security can be a pain. Here are some tips from DealDash to make it through more quickly.

Airport security is important, as we all know. However, when it’s time for you to get through airport security quickly you probably wish that they would be a little less thorough. After all, you know that you aren’t carrying anything dangerous, but they have to check everyone’s bags equally, so it’s in your best interest to co-operate. Here are some tips and hints from DealDash on how to make your trip through airport security go quicker and easier.

Carry-Ons, Bring Only the Bare Essentials

If you’re traveling and plan on bringing a carry-on in addition to your checked luggage, then do yourself a favor and pack it lightly. Just put the bare essentials in your carry-on and the rest of your items in your checked bag.  The reason that this will work in your favor is that if there are fewer things to look through in your carry-on, then the more quickly you will be able to get through the security line. If your carry-on luggage has everything from your toiletries, phone chargers, snacks, iPod, iPad, and more, then it’s going to take a while to get through security. Streamlining what is in your carry-on will save you some time.

Don’t Carry-On Prohibited Items

This seems like silly advice, but don’t bring prohibited items in your carry-on. Obviously, you wouldn’t bring a knife or a gun in your carry-on. However, don’t accidentally bring your scissors or soccer cleats, either. I was on vacation last week, and there was a big hold-up in the security line. The problem? A person had brought their fold-up ski poles in their carry-on. Yes, the person most-likely just wanted to use them for skiing. However, they had very sharp metal points on the bottom that could have been used as a weapon. The person had to go back and check the poles to their destination, and believe me, that took some extra time.

To save yourself the hassle of this happening to you, be sure that you are familiar with what is dis-allowed on flights, such as lighters, golf clubs, and electronic cigarettes.

DealDash Explores Myrtle Beach, SC

DealDash Myrtle Beach

Have you ever taken a trip to Myrtle Beach, SC? It’s not just for golfers anymore. Let’s explore with DealDash.

Growing up in Wilmington, NC was great, because so many nice vacation spots were just a short car ride away. One of these spots is Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Just 1.5 short hours from where I grew up lies miles of beautiful beaches, a boardwalk with an amazing ferris wheel that has enclosed seats with AC(!), a Ripley’s Believe it or Not museum, multiple haunted houses, and so much more. Here are a few fun things to do in Myrtle Beach, from DealDash.

Beaches

Going to the beach is always a favorite activity when on a trip, and Myrtle Beach has many beautiful ones to explore. If you don’t mind paying a few dollars, skip the public beach access points and hit up the Myrtle Beach State Park on the southside of town. It costs $5 per adult and $3 per child (under 5 kids are free) to get in, but then you have wide stretches of beach to yourself with less competition for a spot to put your beach towel. For the entry fee you also get access to hiking trails, a fishing pier, picnic shelters, and a nature center.

Alligator Adventure

When I was growing up in the south I had a few of my own up close and personal adventures with wild crocodiles, but Alligator Adventure is safe and supervised. There are more animals there than just alligators such as monkeys, birds, snakes, and more. The entrance fee is a little steep at $17.99, but well worth it in my opinion.

The Carolina Opry

After you’ve done the beach and kid’s activities all day, maybe it’s time for something a little more grown up. See a variety of concerts from Broadway to gospel, rock, country, and more at the Carolina Opry. There are also special events such as comedy shows, dancing performances, and lots of other entertainment. The tickets start at $50, though, so choose your show wisely.
