DealDash Tech – Android or iOS?

Pixel Phone 3 XL (128GB, Just Black, Unlocked)Apple® iPhone XS Max 256GB Silver + Verdict. Cables

Everyone has a smartphone these days, the real questions is – which operating system do you prefer? Here are some things to consider, from DealDash.

Did you notice that DealDash is offering the newest and best cell phones up for auction? They have the iPhone XS as well as the Google Pixel 3 XL. These are the newest and hottest phones on the market that everyone wants to have this year. Which is your favorite phone?

iPhone XS with iOS

Every phone has a few interesting and unique features about it, and I think that one of the best features that the iPhone XS offers is the advanced face recognition. Security is simple when your face is your password since (almost) everyone’s is unique. You can unlock your iPhone, log in to apps, and pay for things with a glance. It’s the most secure facial authentication ever in a smartphone. And now it’s even faster than the iPhone X. Identical twins, you might be a little cautious using this feature if you don’t want your twin to be able to use your phone.

The iPhone XS also offers wireless charging and a dual camera system for amazing photos. If you are a fan of Apple iPhones, then this is the phone that you have been waiting for, and DealDash has it at this link right here.

Google Pixel 3 XL with Android Pie 9.0

Now that we have covered the iPhone, let’s move on to my personal favorite phone – the Google Pixel 3 XL! I love my Google Pixel 3XL. It has an amazing camera, which is great because I love taking pictures of my cats. It’s hard to get a good shot of them since they are always moving, so it’s a good thing that the phone has the Top Shot feature. This feature automatically picks out the best picture for you, which is pretty amazing.

The rear camera on the 3 XL is a whopping 12.2 MP, which is seriously amazing. I have a Nikon D3400 digital camera that can take professional pictures, and it has 24 MP. Having a 12.2 MP camera in your pocket at all times is really amazing. I will never miss the chance to take a great picture just because I left my heavy, expensive, fragile DSLR camera at home. If you would like to see what all the fuss is about, just click this link and check out the Google Pixel 3 XL on DealDash.

Now, I have to admit, I did not win my Google Pixel XL 3 from DealDash. My husband bought it for me when it came out because I loved my original Google Pixel XL so much. He could have actually saved money by winning or even BINning it on DealDash. If you look at the Google Pixel XL 3’s Buy It Now (BIN) price, you will see that it is $999. My husband paid over $1,100 for mine from the local retailer. If he had bid on the phone on DealDash instead, even if he didn’t win, he could have paid the BIN price and received all of the bids back that he had placed. Not only that, he would have gotten free shipping AND even gotten to keep the clock time that he had accrued while bidding. However, since this was a surprise, he did not go that route.

Thanks for Reading

As you can see, who matter which phone you pick, they both have some great features. Both phones offer a lot for your money, and I’m sure you would love either one. DealDash has them both for you, as well as other Android and iOS phones to choose from.

DealDash Cleans a Flat Screen TV

Samsung 55-inch Class Curved 4K (2160P) Smart LED TV

It’s time to clean your flat screen TV. Here are some tips and tricks from DealDash.

We all watch TV at one time or another.  Most people don’t know that it is important to keep your flat screen TV clean.  LCD and Plasma flat screen TVs have to be cleaned more often than regular glass TV screens.  Here are some ways to clean your flat screen TV, from DealDash.

Turn the TV off

The first thing that you want to do is turn the TV off.  Pixels can be interfered with when you leave the TV on while cleaning.  Turning off the TV will also help you see more dust and dirt clearly since the TV screen will be dark. Also, if you leave the TV on while cleaning it you might get distracted and do a poor job.

Use a Microfiber Cloth

You should not just use any old cloth to clean your TV screen. It is best to use a microfiber cloth.  These dry and soft cloths are used to also clean glasses.  They are good for plasma and LCD screens because they don’t leave any lint behind. If you don’t have a microfiber cloth handy, any soft cloth will do. I like to use a washcloth made from bamboo fiber to clean mine.

Wipe the Screen

After you have the cloth you should simply wipe your screen.  You should gently wipe off any grime and dirt.  It is important to not press hard on the screen if the dirt is not coming off, you should just move on to the next part of the screen.  Never use paper towels or toilet paper to clean off your flat screen TV. This may scratch the screen and leave streaks.  It is also important to also clean the frame.

Adding some vinegar and water can also help clean the screen easier.  Vinegar is a detergent that you can use to clean almost anything, and it is perfect for flat screen TVs. However, you only need to use a very small amount on the cloth – do not spray it directly onto the TV.

Is Your TV Old and Scratched?

If your TV is old, scratched, and in poor condition, it’s time to buy a new one. DealDash has auctions for TVs fairly often. There are different sizes and brands to choose from. Simply browse the Electronics and Computers category on DealDash and I’m sure that you’ll find one that you like. Check them out!

Cleaning your flat screen TV may seem like a boring chore, but with these tips, it will make the process much smoother. Make sure to wipe the TV dry when you are done. Following these tips will help make your cleaning efforts effective.

DealDash Kids: Is it Time for a Phone?

DealDash

Chances are if your child is over the age of 10 they want a cellphone. Here are some tips from DealDash to navigate that conversation.

When you are a parent you have a lot of important choices to make for your children. One very important choice you need to make for your kids is whether or not they are ready for a cell phone. Here are some things to keep in mind when you are trying to make this important choice. Read on for more information from DealDash.

Do They Spend Time After School?

You need to keep into consideration whether or not your child spends a good deal of time without any parental supervision. Do they play after school sports? Are they walking home from school? Any time spent without you supervising them might point to them needing a cell phone of their own. They need to be able to contact you for things like a ride home or if they have some type of emergency.

Are They Mature Enough?

You will also need to consider the level of maturity of your child and if you can have a serious discussion with them about safety on the internet. You need to make sure that your child is mature enough to be able to take care of a cell phone and that they are able to keep themselves safe if they happen to be navigating the internet on their phone. Do they frequently lose things like mittens, hats, or homework? If so, they might not be quite mature enough to be carrying around an expensive electronic.

Does It Work With Your Budget?

Another important thing to consider when trying to decide if your child needs a cell phone is will it fit into your budget? Remember, it’s not just the outlay for the phone, it’s the bill every month. Cell phones are expensive so you need to decide if this is something that your budget can handle each and every month. You could have your child do chores around the house as a way to help pay for their cell phone. It would be a great way to teach them responsibility.

Thanks for Reading

A child having a cell phone is a big decision. However, if you take the time to figure out if they are truly ready for such as responsibility you will be able to make the most informed choice possible. If you find that they don’t really need it, perhaps you could compromise with something that allows them to use fun apps such as an iPad Mini or an iTouch.

DealDash: Staying Calm in a Hectic World

DealDash staying calm

The world is a busy, mixed-up place sometimes. Here are some suggestions from DealDash how to stay calm when things are a little crazy.

The kids need to be taken to school, soccer, dance class – and in-between these journeys you need to clean the house, deal with the repair guy, go grocery shopping, take the baby to the doctor, and then cook dinner. That isn’t even including if you have a full-time job! It’s important to stay calm even when the things around you are a little bit crazy. Here are some tips from DealDash on how to keep it together.

One of the most important ways to keep everything together when things get hectic is to have a set schedule. Yes, maybe you have to do the school, soccer, dance class routine every day, but things are a lot easier if you make yourself a schedule with every waking hour accounted for, and block out the times that you are busy every day so you don’t accidentally double-book yourself. Try to schedule your grocery shopping and other weekly errands on the same time and day, and if you or your child has regular weekly/bi-weekly/monthly doctor appointments try to keep that to the same time and day as well.

It’s easy to get burned out when you have a super busy hectic life, so be sure to schedule yourself in some down time as well. If you’re able to do that weekly, great! Getting through a crazy week is much easier if you know that you know that you are going to have a few hours of “me time” on Sunday afternoon.

Another way to stay sane in a hectic world is by keeping in touch with close friends and family. Try to keep up with your closest friends and family members weekly, it will be good for you and them as well. Luckily we live in a time where technology such as Facebook and Skype allows us to easily keep up with people even if they live on the other side of the world.

To use this technology you have to have a computer, tablet, or at the very least a smartphone. If your electronics are not up to date you’re not going to have as good of an experience. DealDash Remembers the 80’s

Image result for 80s

Styles seem to go in a cycle, and many things that were popular in the 80’s are popular again. Here is a look back to an awesome decade.

1980 was 36 years ago, can you believe it? I was born in February of 1980, so I experienced 1980 in its entirety minus that one month. Of course, I wasn’t really cognizant until 1983 or so, but I still feel like I experienced the best of the 80’s. Let’s take a trip down memory lane with DealDash!

The 80’s were a great time to be a kid! If you like electronics and video games, the personal computer became more affordable in the 1980’s, so many more families were able to afford one in their homes. The Atari came out in the 70’s, but the Atari 2600 was still the video game system to have in the early 80’s, but in 1985 the video gaming world was changed forever when the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) was released.

Science grew by leaps and bounds in the 1980’s, and amazingly, the first surrogate pregnancy took place on April 13, 1986. Other notable medical advances in the 1980’s include the first permanent artificial heart in 1982, the MRI machine was invented in 1985, and the kidney dialysis machine was also invented in 1985.

When you ask someone to think about the 1980’s many people mention the fashion and the music. Since fashion and music go hand-in-hand, let’s tackle that one as a combination. MTV was launched on August 1st, 1981 and some of the most popular musicians were Madonna, Duran Duran, Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Billy Joel, and so many more. Fashion-wise, teens and young adults wanted to dress like these bands, and there were ripped jeans, crazy-colored hair, and multiple piercings. See what I mean about styles going in a cycle?

Many amazing movies came out in the 1980’s that are still watched and moved today, such as E.T. (the first movie that I saw in the theater), Rain Man, Driving Miss Daisy, Batman, Return of the Jedi, The Breakfast Club, Nightmare on Elm Street, Terminator, Predator, Friday the 13th, and thousands more.

Surprisingly, cable TV was invented in the 1940’s, but it really gained popularity in the 1980’s. This was mostly attributed to specialty channels such as The Disney Channel, HBO, and MTV. Many TV shows that started in the 1980’s are still popular due to syndication today, such as Seinfeld, Growing Pains, 3’s Company, Who’s the Boss?, Full House, and too many more to list here.

I hope that you found this trip down memory lane with DealDash interesting. As I said before, many of the things that were popular in the 1980’s are still popular today. If you’re interested in getting a computer, video game system, or even a turntable, be sure to check DealDash. DealDash often has these items up for bid. Visit DealDash now. DealDash Decorates the Family Room

Image result for family room

Have you redecorated your family room lately? The family room gets a lot of use, why not spruce it up?

We have talked a lot about decorating different rooms of the house, and the family room is an important room that gets a lot of use. If you haven’t redecorated or rearranged things in your family room lately, maybe you should think about a change.

Sometimes small changes are all you need to completely change a room. A new accent here, a new window treatment there – presto! A whole new look! Here are a few small changes and additions that you might want to think about making to keep your family room fresh.

TV – The family room just isn’t complete without a TV! Are you still using an older TV? Today’s TVs are lighter, easier to hang on the wall, have better colors, a sharper image, and have thinner bezels so you get more of a picture in the same footprint of an older TV. Be sure to check DealDash if you’re in the market for a new TV. Here’s a link.

Music – If you’re still using that old 5-CD changer from college, think Bluetooth speakers! You can get huge sound in a tiny package with the new MP3/4 Bluetooth speakers. They come in different shapes, designs, sizes, and power. Most of them have remotes, and you can get one that plugs in with a cord, or others that you can charge via USB. My kids love to listen to music and sing and dance in our family room. I have a Bluetooth speaker that is paired with my iPod Touch so that they can listen to “Mom approved” music anytime they would like. If you’d like to get a Bluetooth speaker for your family room, just visit DealDash at this link.

Couches and Chairs – If your furniture is looking a little shabby, there’s an easy fix for that – covers! In the not so distant past couch and chair covers were only available in neutral colors and were not the easiest to find. Now there are couch and chair covers out that come in fun colors and are available in any of your local box box stores. If you get a couple of different ones you can regularly change them out so you can wash them, and change up the look of your room at the same time.

I hope that you found this article helpful. If you’d like to redecorate any of your rooms be sure to check out DealDash first. DealDash has some beautiful decorative items as well as functional ones. Just click this link here and visit DealDash. Good luck and happy bidding everyone!

Carson TV Stand for TVs up to 50-Inches

Learn About Retro Gaming With DealDash

I grew up in the 80s and 90s, and have a very soft spot in my heart for retro video games. Here is a quick overview of some of the most popular game systems.

Atari 2600 – The Atari 2600 was originally called the Atari VCS (Video Computer System) and was released on September 11, 1977. Later on, in 1982 it was re-named the 2600. This was the video game system that was around my house when I was a baby and small child. I have fond memories of playing Pole Position and Pac-Man with my dad on our Atari 2600. The Atari 2600 was discontinued in January of 1992, which is amazing to me that it was still being sold until then, seeing as how the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) was released in the US in 1985. You would think that the Atari 2600 would have been completely obsolete when the NES took the shelves.

NES – The NES was released in the US on October 18, 1985, and I became the proud owner of one on Christmas of 1986. Six year old me was ecstatic, as I had already played on a friend’s NES and become a huge fan of Mario. Super Mario Brothers, Super Mario 2, and Super Mario 3 will always be my favorite video games. There were other great games released for the NES such as Legend of Zelda and Contra. The NES had a great 10 year run, however on August 14, 1995, Nintendo discontinued the Nintendo Entertainment System in both North America and Europe.

Sega Genesis – The Genesis was released in the US in 1989, and had some very popular titles such as Sonic the Hedgehog and the Mortal Kombat franchise. The Genesis was discontinued in 1997.

Super Nintendo – We have come to my favorite game console of all time, the Super Nintendo! The SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) was released in 1992 in the US, and I am happy to say that I was able to convince my parents to get me one immediately. The SNES has some amazing games that are still really fun to play even though it’s been 24 years since the SNES came out, such as Super Mario World (my favorite game of all time), Sim City, and Donkey Kong Country, and Super Mario Kart. Sadly, the SNES was discontinued in the US in 1999.

There you have it, an overview of the “grandfathers” of today’s game consoles such as the Wii U, Xbox ONE, and Playstation 4 consoles. I hope that you enjoyed reading about the game consoles of the 80s and 90s. If you’re interested in picking up a modern console or video game be sure to check out DealDash! They frequently auction off game consoles, games, accessories, and game gift cards. Check out the Electronics and Computers category at this link right here and see how much you can save! Good luck and happy bidding everyone!
