What Goes in a Pampering Kit?

Basically, anything that makes you feel relaxed and calm can go in your pampering kit. Whether it’s your favorite book, some snacks, some skincare products, or a sleep mask, nothing is off-limits. Please note that both men and women can enjoy a pampering kit, so guys, don’t be put off by the word “pamper”!

Journaling, Writing, and Coloring

One important part of pampering, in my opinion, is doing something that can help you relax. Personally, I love writing (as you can probably tell!), and I also enjoy the trend of coloring books for adults. There’s nothing as soothing as cracking open a nice fresh coloring book and set of colored pencils. For some people, this might not be fun or soothing, but many people enjoy it.

Snacks Make Me Happy

Everyone enjoys snacks, and what sort of snacks that go in the kit are up to you! Some of my personal favorites are coffee and tea, popcorn, and fruity candy. Some other options might be pretzels, chocolate, chips, or even wine. It’s up to you, whatever makes you feel happy.

Pictures and Letters

When I’m feeling down or just in the mood for a little pick-me-up I love looking at pictures of my kids when they were babies, pictures of myself with my friends and family, and old cards and letters. You can make a mini photo book to put in your pampering kit. You can either print out the pictures or just put them on a flash drive to pop into the computer when you feel the need.

Take Care of the Body

There’s nothing like a nice bath with a bath fizzy or bubble bath to drain the tension away. If you really want to maximize your stay-cation, take off on a Monday or Friday so you end up with a 3 day weekend. If you have the extra vacation days, take both! Make sure that you leave the chores and drudgery to someone else for those few days. Enlist your spouse and children to help out a little more than usual.

Don’t be so Hard on Yourself

Finally, stop being so hard on yourself. Everyone these days are really pushing themselves to the limit. Between all of your obligations that you have to do on a daily basis, it’s no wonder that you feel like you aren’t getting everything done that you need to do. Stop getting down on yourself for not being Superman or Superwoman, we are all human, and we should all be kind to ourselves.

As we’re coming out of the winter, self-care is really important. Here are some ideas from DealDash to pamper yourself.

Do you practice self-care? Practicing self-care, put simply, means to do things that make you feel good. These things can vary, depending on what you like. These can be things that nourish both your body or mind. Ideally, you can do a few different self-care practices so you can take care of yourself inside and out. If you are able to do these things regularly you will feel so much better even when things are stressful in other areas of your life. Here are some tips and ideas from DealDash.

Different Strokes

Self-care can mean different things to different people. For example, if you’re the outdoorsy, athletic, healthy sort, then maybe your idea of self-care is going for a hike, eating some fresh veggies, and then doing some yoga. DealDash Skin Care – Makeup Removal

Taking off your makeup nightly is a very important part of skin care. Let DealDash show you some tips and techniques.

Taking off your makeup nightly is one way to be sure that your skin stay healthy, glowing, and blemish-free. Washing your face with soap can leave your skin dry, itchy, and tight. Soap is a definite no-no when washing your face, especially in the winter. Read on to hear how to remove your makeup in a more healthy way for your skin, from DealDash.

Step 1

The first thing that you should do when taking off your makeup at night is to take off any eye makeup and mascara. You can use any makeup remover for this, the kind that contains oil, or oil-free for people who already have oily skin. If you don’t like the chemicals in the eye makeup remover you can also use coconut oil! Just warm up a little in your hand, apply with a cotton ball, and wipe off.

Step 2

Next, you can wash your face using a variety of products. You can use a regular cleanser, makeup wipes, or even micellar water. Micellar water is my favorite way to remove cleanse my face. It’s so easy to use and doesn’t even require water. You can use it on all areas of your face, including eyes and lips. Simply apply the micellar water to a cotton round, cotton ball, q-tip, or even a tissue to the face, eyes, and lips. Then wipe off makeup without rubbing.

Step 3

Finally, you should apply a toner to your face. No matter how well you cleanse your face and remove your makeup there is usually a small amount of residue left behind. Toner removes the leftovers and returns your skin to the proper PH balance. Simply wet a cotton round or cotton ball with toner and wipe your whole face including your neck. There’s no rinsing required! After applying a toner you should follow up with the moisturizer of your choice.
