Ask for Hand-Me-Downs

If you have friends or family with kids they will most likely offer you their old baby clothes as hand-me-downs. If you don’t have any immediate family or close friends that have offered hand-me-downs you can always spread the word on your social media that you are looking for hand-me-downs. This is a great way that you can get used baby clothing.

Buy Them Online

One of the most common ways that you can buy used baby clothes is on the Internet. You can get them from many different sites, including online yard sales. You’ll find that either way most sets of baby clothes will not have tags on them and will be grouped in similar sizes and for one gender or the other.  This makes it easy for you to find what types of clothes that you’re looking for for your baby.

You need to pay attention to things like shipping and whether or not you have to meet someone to pick up the clothes that you would get on a classified ad site for example.  That way you know you’ll be able to get the very best deal on the use clothes that you’re looking to purchase.

Look on Used Clothing Sites

Another option for buying used baby clothes is looking for websites that sell used clothing.  There are many stores online that specialize in selling used baby clothes so they are easy to find and take advantage of all the great prices that they have to offer.  Here you may find lots of baby clothes and you may also find clothes that are available for sale individually. Again you’ll want to pay attention to things that shipping so you know you’re getting the very best deal on the baby clothes that you’re looking for for your child.

Your Local Thrift Store

Depending on the size of your town or city, you may have a lot of options for thrift stores. When you think of a thrift store your mind might immediately think of a big national company. However, if you check online you can probably find many smaller thrift stores close to you. One of the benefits of getting used baby clothing at a local store is no shipping, of course. Another big benefit of going to a smaller, locally owned store is that the prices tend to be cheaper.

You’ll find there are good and bad points to all options for buying baby clothes that have been used before.  You just have to figure out which option works best for you and then look for the very best deal that you can get.

DealDash Frugal: Organize Those Coupons!

DealDash

Being frugal can be fun when you use coupons. Here are some tips to keep things organized, from DealDash.

Coupons, if used wisely, can really assist in saving money on things like groceries. One problem many couponers run into that stops them from saving as much as they can is not having their coupons organized. Here are some ways you can keep your coupons neat and tidy, from DealDash.

Sort by Expiration

One thing that you should do to get your coupons organized is to sort them by expiration date. That way you will be able to know what coupons should be used when. Nothing would be worse than counting on savings from coupons only to find out that they have expired. You might want to consider writing the expiration date on them a little bigger or putting a sticky note on them with the expiration date. Sometimes the dates are very hard to read at a glance because they are so small.

Put them in a Binder Book

Getting a book to organize your coupons should be your next step. You should get a binder that is a workable size with clear pages so that you can easily access your coupons. This binder should one that easily take with you when you go shopping. Being frugal, you might want to wait until the “Back to School” sale at the store to get your binder. Until then you can just keep them in an envelope.

Sort them Often

You will want to sort through your coupons every so often so that you can get rid of any of them that may have expired. Again, this is so you do not run into a situation where you are counting on savings only to be disappointed  by expired coupons. Personally, I like to give my coupons a quick check every Sunday when I put the new ones in and take out the ones that I plan on using that day for my grocery shopping.

The Benefits of Coupon Organization

You will find that there are a great many benefits to keeping your coupons organized. First of you will be leaving good organizational skills. You will also be saving money of course and you can even turn your coupon collecting into a money making opportunity by doing things like teaching couponing classes. You can also do your kids a favor by teaching them this very useful skill.

Thanks for Reading

Organizing your coupons is the first step in maximizing your savings and learning more about a very useful skill. Couponing with a little effort is actually a rather simple skill to learn. You should be sure to organize your coupons before your next shopping trip to be able to have the simplest time possible using your coupons.

DealDash Must Read Road Trip Tips

DealDash

Yesterday we talked about preparing for a flight. Today we talk about going on a road trip! Read on for more information from DealDash.

Roads trips are a great way to see the world. There is nothing like riding across the country and discovering new places. Going on a road trip is an awesome way to spend time with your family or friends. It is important to be prepared when you are on a road trip. Here are some tips that will help you prepare for a road trip, from DealDash.

Figure Out an Estimated Route

When you’re going on a road trip, it is important to have a sense of where you are going. You should check the mileage, so you can be aware of how much time you can drive per day. You can buy a map or use MapQuest or Google Maps to track your route.  Do not become exhausted by traveling ten hours a day. Make sure you have an estimated route set in place, so you can enjoy your trip.

If you are on a leisurely road trip, take a look at your route and choose some fun places along the way that you want to stop. Some people might want to see the world’s largest ball of twine, and other people might like to stop by an outlet mall and do some shopping, or even an amusement park. It’s up to you and whoever you are riding with. Remember to be nice and take turns deciding where to stop.

Plan Some Meals

When you are on a road trip, you will undoubtedly become very hungry. It is important to have meals and snacks prepared. Since you cannot heat up your food, it is best to pack certain meals such as sandwiches, granola bars, and chips. It is imperative to find some restaurants along the way, so you can try new foods. You can use websites like Yelp to discover new places to eat on your trip. As with where you want to stop for activities, be sure to take turns with your traveling companions to choose where to eat.

Make Reservations

It is fun to just drive around and find a hotel randomly, but you won’t get the cheapest price if you are not prepared ahead of time. You should think about planning at least two nights ahead if you don’t want to be at one set location. Making reservations ahead of time will help make it easier to prepare for your road trip.

Don’t Forget Your Luggage

If you need luggage, laptop bags, or toiletry bags DealDash has you covered. You might not need as much luggage as if you’re going on a flight, but you will definitely need a few changes of clothes! DealDash stocks all of these items as well as purses, carry on bags, duffle bags, backpacks, and more. DealDash Helps: Get the Right Baby Items

DealDash

Let DealDash advise you on what you need for your new baby. Read on for more…

No matter if you are a first time parent or veteran parent you will want to get the right things to care for your new baby. You only want the best for them, so you only want to get the best items to help in their daily care activities. Here are some tips for getting the right things to care for your baby, from DealDash.

Baby Skin Care

When it comes to skincare products for babies you need to remember that their skin is very sensitive. So, you need to get the proper skin care products. You need to be positive that the products that you do choose are able to keep their skin soft and well hydrated. If not you will find that your baby will have a lot of skin irritation issues. Everyone’s skin is a little different, and that goes for babies as well. Some babies are rashy, some babies have extra sensitive skin, and some babies have normal skin.

Baby Clothing

When it comes to clothes many parents seem to think that their baby looks good in clothes that are fancy. You should, however, avoid clothing that has a lot of separate pieces. Instead you need to opt for breathable clothing that will help keep your child cool in summer and cozy warm clothes that will keep them warm in the cooler months of the year.

With babies, layers are always a good idea. When my kids were little, my doctor advised this rule of thumb:

Dress your baby in one layer more than you would dress yourself to feel comfortable in the fall and winter. For example, if I am comfortable just wearing a long sleeve t-shirt I should dress my baby in a long sleeve shirt as well as a sweater.

Babies Love Toys

When it comes to toys for your baby you need to pay close attention to what you are purchasing. Babies are going to want to put just about everything into their mouths. Ergo, you need to be sure that you pay close attention to the parts of the toys. As they get older you can get them more advanced toys.

Thanks for Reading

This is really just the beginning of the things that you are going to need to take care of your baby. You just need to make sure that you do thorough research into what you are purchasing to take care of your baby so you know that you are purchasing the best quality products for your child.

DealDash has many quality products for your baby. Some of these products include strollers, cribs, and travel systems. No matter what you need for your baby you should always check DealDash first.

Tips for Home Organization from DealDash

DealDash

Keeping your home organized can be tricky. Follow these tips from DealDash to make it easier.

If you are looking to have a more organized home, especially if you have children, it can seem like a daunting task. The great news is that it doesn’t need to be this way. There are actually many simple tips available that can help you get organized and stay that way. Read on for more information from DealDash.

Baskets A-Plenty

One thing that you can do that will help your home stay more organized is having a basket set aside to put things in. That way you will not have to worry about running around the house looking for items that you need to return to their rightful places. If you put a nice basket into the main common rooms such as the kitchen, family room, etc. it will make things easier to tidy up later on.

Reduce Your Clothing

When it comes to organizing your clothes you need to keep a laundry basket to put dirty clothes in instead of using the floor as your laundry basket. This seems like common sense, but I have seen way too many people skip the basket and throw them directly onto the floor. You should also only keep clothes that you like and donate the rest. If you have a lot of clothes that you do not like wearing you will simply end up with a lot of clutter in your closet. There’s no reason to keep anything that you haven’t worn in the past year unless it’s a special event item such as a gown or a tux to attend weddings.

Organization Needn’t be Expensive

You should remember that you do not need to purchase expensive organizational items to organize your home. There are many things that you can purchase at the discount store that would be perfect for organizational purposes in your home. This will save you a lot of money when it comes to organizing your home. If you’re in the market for baskets, the craft store has a great selection and you can always find a coupon.

File Your Papers

You should also begin a filing system for each piece of paper that you get in your home. This way you will not have to search for an important paper like an electricity bill. This will also keep surfaces clear in your home. You can find a nice rack for this sort of thing at the office supply store.

Thanks for Reading

These are just a few things that you can do in order to get more organization in your home. Try doing little things each day to get your home more organized. You will be able to see a huge improvement in your home. Also, organizing your house doesn’t need to be a great deal of work and with tips like these, you can get your home organized and looking great in no time at all.

Tips From DealDash to Make Couponing Easier

DealDash

Do you love coupons? I know I do! Here are some tips from DealDash to make couponing go more smoothly.

Many people these days are looking for ways to stretch their monthly income so that there are able to do things like affording groceries all month or perhaps even starting a savings account. Using coupons is a great way to be able to save money on the items that you are already purchasing, namely the groceries that you purchase every month. Here are some ways to have the best possible experience when you take up couponing, from DealDash.

Figure Out a System

You need to develop a system that will make sense to you. There are many suggestions out there for what is the best system for taking care of coupons but you need to make sure that you select an organizational method that is going to be easy for you to understand. You will also want to get into a routine of making use of the same day each week to deal with the coupons that you want to use. Personally, I suggest an accordion-style folding wallet to keep your coupons in. Other people prefer binders or even just an envelope. Do what works best for you.

Get Rid of the Expired Ones

You will also want to purge expired coupons from your collection as often as possible. This way you do not run the risk of counting on savings that you are not going to be able to get. You need to make sure that you are always using coupons that are within their expiration date. Additionally, to be able to fully maximize your savings you need to avoid impulse purchasing and only buy what you need. If you buy things you do not need you are going to end up spending more and not saving money.

Learn the Ropes at Your Favorite Store

DealDash Helps: Survive Food Shopping With Kids

DealDash

Need some help shopping with your kids? Here are some tips and tricks from DealDash to help.

Grocery shopping with small children is no easy task. No matter if they’re your kids, grandkids, or kids that you are babysitting, it is really a chore. We have all been there in the grocery store shopping when a small child has a meltdown when told they cannot get what they want. Glad that it isn’t your child? Well what if it was? Here are some ways to survive grocery day when you are in charge of small kids.

Make Sure the Kids Are Prepared

The first thing that you need to do is to make sure that you go shopping after your child has had a nap. Always keep in mind that a sleepy kid is going to be a grumpy kid so you need to avoid this at all costs.

You also want to make sure that they have eaten something after their nap so they are not hungry while shopping. It might be tempting to think that you are just going to feed them something at the store while you are shopping, but that is generally frowned upon by store management. However, sometimes it’s unavoidable.

Give Your Child a “Job”

Letting your child be “in charge” of driving the cart is another thing that you can do to have an easier time at the grocery store. You can ask your child something like “Can you take us to the vegetables?” and then let them use their imagination as far as how to get to where you need to go. This will keep their minds occupied so their will be less of a chance of them being upset for some reason while you are shopping. This won’t work with small toddlers, of course. They lack the strength needed to push the cart.

If you have a smaller child that wants to walk while you are grocery shopping you can give them small tasks to complete while getting groceries. Have them pick out a snack for after your trip or grab the vegetables that you need. This will help them stay busy while you are shopping.

Thanks for Reading

Finally, thanks a lot for reading the newest DealDash article on shopping with kids. Grocery shopping with small children is a task that most moms, dads, and grandparents dread. However, if you have a plan in place on how to make grocery shopping a lot smoother you will see that it will be easier to survive the trip to the grocery store.

DealDash Helps- Fit Your Children for Shoes

dealdash children shoes

It’s very important that your children wear the proper size shoes on their growing feet. Let DealDash help you figure out their shoe size.

Shopping for children’s shoes can be an unhappy experience for you, the children, and even the salespeople. Many women enjoy getting new shoes and will try them on for hours, however, most kids, especially younger ones, don’t really like to go shoe shopping.

Getting the proper fit for your children’s shoes is very important, though, and children outgrow their shoes very quickly. Read this article from DealDash to learn some tips for getting your children’s shoes to fit properly.

When Should You Go Shopping?

Many children might not even realize that their shoes are too small for them, they just know that their shoes don’t feel comfy anymore. You could ask them on a monthly basis how their shoes feel, or you can follow these tips to help you figure it out without remembering to ask.

The first thing that you will want to check on the old shoes are the seams. If the seams are looking particularly worn, then that means that the foot is pushing outwards on them and it’s probably time to get a bigger size.

Next, check out the sides of the shoes. Are they bulging out, especially near where the pinky toe is located? If so, these shoes might not be wide enough. Your child might not need a larger size, but a wider width, instead.

Measure Them with the Foot-Sizer

Instead of having your children try on every size in the store, you should use the foot-sizer. If you are shopping in a store that has professional shoe salespeople, you should ask one of them to help you.

Some tips to note about using the foot-sizer are that one, feet should always be measured while standing up. Next, be sure to measure both feet. It’s extremely common for a person to have one foot larger than the other. Lastly, be sure that you buy shoes to fit the larger of the two feet. Otherwise, your child will be very uncomfortable after a full day of wearing their shoes.

I hope that you found this new DealDash article on fitting your children for new shoes helpful. After a long day of shoe shopping, it’s time to take a break and relax with DealDash.

DealDash Saves on Your Grocery Bill

Image result for save money groceries

DealDash likes to save you money on everything from electronics to baby toys, why not food? Here are some money-saving ideas for the supermarket.

Your grocery bill is probably one of your biggest household expenses each month, after your rent or mortgage and car payments. Luckily it’s also one of the easiest to cut down because you can always save a little here and a little there without feeling too much of a budget crunch. Here are some tips from DealDash to save money on your grocery bills.

Savings Start at Home

It’s true, saving money starts before you even leave your house to go shopping. I am far from an extreme couponer, but I do like to check my coupons before I go shopping to see if there’s anything that my family needs that I can save a little money by using a coupon. I also like to review the supermarket flier before I leave the house and write down any great sales that are going on.

Don’t Fall into the Coupon Trap

Yes, coupons are great and can save you a lot of money. However, it’s very easy to fall into the “coupon trap” of buying things that you don’t really need just because you have a coupon for that product.

Also, be sure to compare the store brand price to the price of the name brand item that you have the coupon for – the store brand still might be cheaper. Most store brand items taste the same, so it’s worth it to give the store brand a try. If you don’t like it you can always get the name brand one next time.

Stocking Up

It’s also helpful to look at how you buy – keep a running list of foods your family uses on a regular basis, and stock up your pantry when the prices are low. Buying foods in bulk can significantly reduce your cost per serving. Warehouse memberships don’t make sense for singles or most couples, but if you have 4+ people living in your home that you share meals with, warehouse memberships can pay for themselves after a few uses.

Don’t Be Lazy

As someone who would rather have extra free time than spend all day in the kitchen, I get it! Premade meals, frozen meals, and other convenience foods make life so much easier.  But cooking instead of just warming something up is typically cheaper and also much healthier for you and your family. If you’re short on time you can always make a stir fry. It only takes a few minutes to chop up the veggies, and if you have a rice cooker you have have a delicious and healthy meal on the table in about 20 minutes.

DealDash’s Online Shopping Ideas

Image result for online shopping Of course DealDash would like you to come check out the auctions for this holiday shopping season, but they realize you will be shopping on multiple websites. Here are some online shopping hints for the season.

DealDash get it. DealDash understands that as much as you like their online auctions, you will be shopping in multiple places online and in store this year for Christmas. When you need something, check DealDash first, because you might be able to get a great deal – but if DealDash isn’t offering the particular item that you are looking for this year, here are some hints about online shopping this Christmas season.

The most important hint for this holiday season is to plan ahead. Don’t be one of those shoppers that waits until the very last second and then has to wait in long lines at the store, or pay for overnight shipping. Try to have all of your presents purchased, delivered, and wrapped two weeks before Christmas. That means that you need to hustle. Be sure to check DealDash first, here is a link to search the auctions.

Next, make sure that you make yourself a budget and stick to it! Decide before you start shopping how much that you are going to spend on each of the people on your shopping list, and then go shopping. You wouldn’t want to travel to a foreign city without a gps, and you don’t want to go shopping without a budget! It just makes good sense.

As mentioned above, make sure that you have a list. Make a list of everyone that you would like to get a gift for, the budget, and maybe also jot down a few ideas if what you think that they might like.

If you are getting gifts for multiple children that will be opening their gifts together such as siblings or cousins, try to keep the budgets for each child similar. It wouldn’t be a very nice experience for the kids if one child gets an Xbox One, and the other child gets a puzzle. If you would like to get one of the children something much nicer than the others, be sure to give them that gift privately so no one gets their feelings hurt on Christmas.

After you’ve made your lists and your budget, come check out DealDash. DealDash has awesome gifts for kids and adults. Visit DealDash now and see how much you can save. Good luck and happy bidding everyone! Image result for online shopping

DealDash Thinks About Presents

Image result for pile of presents

Even though it’s not even Halloween yet Christmas decorations are already decorating the shelves of the local stores. I guess it’s not to early to start thinking about Christmas presents…

Do you have any idea yet what you are planning to get for your kids, your mom, your friend? Well, if you start shopping (and winning!) now on DealDash you will be able to get everyone taken care of, presents wrapped, and ready to go before Christmas is here. And when you think about it like that, it’s actually a present to yourself! Shopping early means no waiting in long lines, no last-minute splurges, and no guilt that you didn’t think of the perfect present. It sounds like it’s time to get shopping. Here are a few ideas that you might want to think about in terms of gifting this year…

Bluetooth headphones – Bluetooth headphones are a great gift for many people. They are perfect for people who love to exercise, of course, but they are also great for the people on your list who love to try out the latest gadgets. Even your mom or grandma might like bluetooth headphones for doing gardening or yard work outside, or even in the kitchen for when they are cooking and can’t pick up the phone when someone calls. They are also great for teenagers and kids as well – but not kids that are too young, you don’t want them getting lost.

Back massager- A back massager is the perfect gift for just about anyone over the age of 30. You can go cheaper with a non-electronic one, they actually have some really nice ones at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Or if you’re feeling spendy you can get a much nicer one that has electronic rollers, heat, and various speeds and firmness. I personally have both types of mechanical and non-mechanical, and I can say that both are great!

Decorative clock –  A decorative clock is a nice present for someone who you want to give a gift to, but you aren’t very close, or you just have no idea what they need or like. Almost everyone could use a decorative clock, whether they plan on putting it somewhere on display such as the mantle, or just to use as a decoration in their guest room. It’s a completely non-offensive, useful, and fun item that would be a nice present for an aunt that you don’t see that often, or a neighbor that you aren’t sure of their hobbies or interests.

Kitchen gadget – If you’re in a quandary of what to get someone but you know that they enjoy cooking, how about a kitchen gadget? You could get them a nice ceramic knife, a beautiful tea kettle, or a fun set of dessert plates. The choices are practically endless when you are choosing a fun kitchen gadget.

I hope that this article has gotten you thinking about some gift ideas for the upcoming holiday season. DealDash has great gifts for people of all ages and interests, including bluetooth headphones, kitchen gadgets, and gift cards. DealDash is the ultimate in shopping entertainment. Just click on this link to DealDash and see how much you can save. Good luck and happy bidding, everyone!

DealDash Skin Care: Vitamin C

Every so often a new trend comes around in skin care. Right now the “it” trend for skin is products with Vitamin C. It’s delicious and nutritious for your skin.

“Anti-aging” “Lightening” “Brightening” these are just a few of the claims associated with using skin care products with Vitamin C in them. How true are these claims? Let’s take a closer look and see.

Vitamin C’s skin benefits are mostly due to its benefits in supporting healthy collagen. Collagen works closely with elastin to support the skin. In layman’s terms, it comprises the framework that provides form, firmness, and strength to the skin, while elastin is what gives skin its flexibility. Think of collagen as the peanut butter to elastin’s jelly. Unfortunately, the amount of collagen in your skin declines with age, and its accelerated by many different factors such as sunlight, smoking, free radicals, and inflammation. Luckily, vitamin C can help a bit with your collagen. When vitamin C is topically applied to the skin, it provides a skin-rejuvenating effect by improving collagen synthesis in the skin that slows down with aging, and also limits skin damage from free radicals.

Does it have to be topical? Yes. While ingesting vitamin C is definitely healthy for your body it doesn’t really do much to help your skin. Amazingly, when you apply topical vitamin C to the skin it is 20 times more effective than oral ingestion! Don’t toss out your oranges and grapefruits just yet, though. Vitamin C plays an important part of keeping your body healthy inside as well. Why choose? Ingest and topically apply vitamin C for excellent health inside and out.

Now that you know that vitamin C can help you with your collagen, you might be wondering how you should incorporate Vitamin C-based skin care products into your daily routine. Vitamin C-based products come in a variety of different types of formulas. You can find vitamin C in creams, lotions, serums, face oils, and other types of treatments. Pay attention to the label, look for a concentration of vitamin C at about 10-20%. Anything less and it won’t be as effective, and any more and you may irritate your skin.

I hope that this article has given you a few new ideas about skin care. DealDash has some great beauty and personal care items in their Fashion, Health, and Beauty category. Visit DealDash at this link right here and see all of the beauty products available. Good luck and happy bidding everyone!

Spa Sonic Skin Care Face and Body Polisher 7-Piece Kit, Pink

DealDash Makes: A Teacher Gift

Depending on where you are located school should be over for the summer soon. With the last day of school right around the corner we should make a teacher gift.

My son is in first grade, and his last day of school is coming up in just a couple of weeks. He has a hard time at school, and the teacher and assistants do an excellent job of following his IEP and assisting him in any way possible that helps him be able to learn like an average child. For this caring and concern I think that it would be nice to have him make his teacher a gift for the last day of school. Do you know of a special teacher that could use a little recognition?

The teacher gift that I want to make with my son is inspired by the “diaper cake” phenomenon that has come about for presenting to new Mommies at their baby shower. This gift can be on the cheaper side, mid range, or more expensive depending on where you purchase the supplies to make the “cake”. Here are the supplies needed:

  • Small (square) box of tissues
  • 1 – 6″ round (approx 3″ tall) box w/lid
  • 1 – 8″ round (approx 3″ tall) box w/lid
  • 1 – 10″ round (approx 5″ tall) box w/lid
  • 12″ cake board
  • 15 2 packs glue sticks in their packaging
  • 3 yds ribbon
  • 16 boxes 24 ct crayons
  • 10 – 1 subject notebooks
  • 4 – packs of note cards
  • Hot Glue gun, hot glue sticks

Instructions:

  1. Using the hot glue gun, hot glue the larger round box to the cake board
  2. Using the hot glue gun, take your largest round box and hot glue the crayon boxes around it, then hot glue the ribbon around the boxes
  3. Using your hot glue gun, take your medium round box and hot glue the medium round box on top of the larger round box
  4. Using the hot glue gun, hot glue the glue sticks around the medium round box, then hot glue the ribbon around the glue sticks packaging
  5. Using the hot glue gun, hot glue the smallest box on top of the medium round box
  6. Using the hot glue gun, hot glue the notebooks around it, then hot glue the ribbon around the notebooks
  7. Using the hot glue gun, hot glue the tissue box on top of the smallest round box
  8. Using the hot glue gun, hot glue the packages of note cards around the box, then hot glue ribbon around the note cards
  9. Using the hot glue gun, hot glue the remaining packages of crayons around the top of the tissue box, then hot glue the ribbon around the crayon boxes

That’s it! Whew! It sounds a lot more complicated than it really is, it’s a quick project that you and your child or grandchild can do together to make their teacher smile. The great thing about this school supply cake is not only is it awesome looking, it’s an extremely useful gift that they will be able to get a lot of uses out of in the following year and be able to save a little money by not having to buy quite so many supplies.

Of course, if you aren’t really the crafty sort, that’s OK, too! Just head on over to DealDash and you will find lots of nice items that would make a great teacher gift for the end of the school year, such as luxurious candles, gift cards, and so much more! Just click this link here and go see how much you can save! Good luck and Happy bidding everyone!

Developing DealDash for the Better

Developing DealDash

I have been bidding in auctions and shopping with DealDash since mid-September 2013, 10 months. In that time I have been successful in adding items to my life that I enjoy as well as providing gifts for family and friends from DealDash.com

The changes to the main screen are very helpful in that we can see the items we are bidding on and what is coming up soon. There are a few more changes I would also like to suggest to the DealDash team.

1. Please devise a sign / alert that would pop up when a bidder reaches the item value based on bids used only. The language could be ‘Your bids at .15 each now equal the retail value of the item you are bidding on’. This reminder could help all bidders not over-spend and bring awareness to the Buy it Now option to get back the bids.

2. Please show the date the bidding occurred on all the screens available on ‘My Dashboard’. Going back to check my orders on ‘My Dashboard’ having the date will help me gauge when I may expect to receive the item.

3. Please show the number of bids used on the ‘won auctions’ screen in addition to the amount paid. When I want to know how well I did, it helps to have all the information on one screen. Something similar to the information on the ‘Buy It Now’ screen found in the Dashboard.

Thank you Deal Dash for considering these, if implemented they could help all the bidders have a better experience. What do you think? Comment below!

Why You Should Keep A DealDash Budget

DealDash Shopping Budget

It’s important to keep a budget when shopping on DealDash and be willing to walk away.

It is very easy to get caught up in the fast pace environment of a Deal Dash auction. Especially when you browse the winners page and you see great items being won for great prices. But it is also very important to remember that you don’t always win, so it is a good idea to have a budget in mind.

When you buy your bids, keep in mind the amount of money you have spent on them. In the end you have to add the cost of the bids to the amount of the item. There are times when it is not worth it so it is very important to have a limit set in your mind for each and every auction you enter.

I know this can be difficult, especially when the item is won only a few bids after you drop. However if you set a limit it will save you money. There is no point in putting 35 bids in to a 40 bid pack. When you add up the cost of your bids, you are paying more than the bid pack is worth. Remember this for the bigger items as well. If you put 500 bids into a great computer, and you still have not won it, you have to be able and willing to take the 500 bid loss, and walk away or use the DealDash Buy it Now option to purchase the item at full price and get your bids back. Before I enter any auction, I figure out the amount of money I am willing to lose, and walk away if I don’t win or then use the Buy it Now. That’s how I’ve been successful bidding on Deal Dash.

By Erica Baughman

I’ve been shopping and bidding on Deal Dash since summer of 2013. I’ve won 70 DealDash auctions and counting.

SodaStream On DealDash

A Well Deserved Win On DealDash

After I purchased the SodaStream Genesis Soda Maker for $105.99 using the Buy It Now option on DealDash. I received my 474 bids back which I invested $85.32 in bids so really the SodaStream only cost me $20.67.

Deal Dash auctioned off a tray to keep the SodaStream organized.

I happened to be on Deal Dash one day and won the Mind Reader All-In-One Storage Tray during a free auction win sale. I needed a place to organize my SodaStream with all of the various flavors that I have. I don’t recall how many bids I used but I’m certain it wasn’t over priced but in the end I was able to win this at a bid of $3.50 but only had to pay that fabulous price of $0.01 plus Free Shipping. This win was very useful because as you can see from the video the storage tray really helps to keep the SodaStream and falvors organized to help prevent a cluttered counter top.

DealDash Tips To Friends

I have never been disappointed with any of my Purchases or wins at DealDash and I recommend it to all of my friends with the following rules to follow.
  1. Don’t stomp my bids.
  2. Patience is a virtue to winning auctions on DealDash.com.
I also always show them my wins and tell them “See how much you can save” on DealDash.com; after all it really is the fair and honest penny auction site.

In almost 2 years of being a DealDash auction shopper, I have won some of the most awesome things.

I have outfitted my kitchen with a stunning Breville toaster/convection oven. I won a blue KitchenAid mixer and every attachment except the ice cream maker. I was able to snag a 4 slice toast and most recently, I won an over the range microwave oven. In addition, I have won small items such as cookware, knives and bowls. I think I am set now. The only thing I’m missing is a brand new stainless steel range. 🙂

My home office has been upgraded with 3 laptops and a brand new printer. I have been enjoying my 45 inch flat screen TV in my bedroom for some time. I have won several pet beds and a large cage for my Foster animals that I care for when volunteering for our local county animal shelter. In addition, I have received many, many Amazon gift cards that I have used for pet supplements and food. During Christmas 2012, I was able to purchase a bicycle for my husband and an adult tricycle for myself using the Amazon gift certificates I received from shopping on DealDash.com.

5 Of My Favorite DealDash Bidding Tips

I am 44 years old and love to shop! Like many of you, I am always looking for a great deal for birthdays, Christmas, and just for me! DealDash is a one stop shop! Here are my 5 favorite DealDash bidding tips I recommend following for a better shopping experience.

When bidding on DealDash it’s good to keep a few things in mind:

1) Buy bids when they are on sale! Sales happen almost weekly and you can get bids for as low as 15¢.

2) Bid responsibly!! One part of this means to let the clock run out for others so they will do it for you! Doing this allows your clock to build up towards free bids! Free is good. Really good.

3) Wait for auction sale days. DealDash runs 50% off and even FREE auction wins frequently! This means that if you win the auction you either only need to pay 50% of the final sales price or then if it’s “Free”, just a 1¢ transaction no matter what the cost. DealDash foots the bill for you.

4) Wait for the “No bidders after $3” days. These auctions alleviate much of the competition! All auctions are “No Jumper Auctions” which prevent new bidders from jumping into the auctions after the price normally reaches $5. When the bidding is closed to no new bidders after $3, the competition is less. 🙂

5) After winning and receiving your item, be sure to post a picture of you and your win to the DealDash Facebook page to receive free bids. Plus, by doing this, you are automatically registered into the weekly running for a $500 gift card! Every week someone who posted a picture wins a $500 gift card if they had the best photo of the week! Also, pin that picture to Pinterest for extra free bids! And remember, you are saving a boatload of money on shipping because on DealDash it is always FREE!  DealDash is an awesome site and they are truly trying to help the bidders! If you play fair, it is fun for everyone!

On DealDash there are a wide variety of items for every need. From baby items, children’s toys, and video games to camping gear, 35mm camera’s, and wine coolers! Have fun shopping on what you love!

Big Wins Small Steps DealDash

Why I Bid Small

I’ve been shopping on DealDash.com for over 1 year and my auction bidding strategy is to bid small.

I enjoy bidding on the lower valued items DealDash lists up for auction. Why? I continue to choose this strategy because I am able to win easier and I enjoy winning auctions. Since beginning my shopping and bidding experience on DealDash I have won 93 auctions in total and have received some really great deals. Another reason I like bidding on small items is because I have not been as successful with the big ticket / high value items like I have been with the smaller items, which I love.

I mainly like to bid on gift cards but here are a few of the items which I have won.

  • Foscam Wireless IP Camera = 52 Bids used
  • InnoTab 2 Learning Tablet by Vtech = 21 Bids used

DealDash Auctions

In total for these two items above I used 73 of my bids. Here’s an article worth reading about how you can get free bids on DealDash. It’s called How I Get 300 Free DealDash Bids Every Week. Did you know it’s possible to collect that many free bids every week just for sharing pictures of the items you won?

More examples of auctions I have won:

  • $25 Barnes & Noble Gift Card = 62 Bids used
  • $25 Cabela’s Gift Card = 30 Bids used
  • $10 Cabela’s Gift Card = 3 Bids used
  • 25 Bid Pack! = 11 Bids used
  • 60 Bid Pack! = 32 Bids used

I may have won 93 auctions so far, however I have also used the buy it now probably 150 times to get my bids back! This helps me prevent from having to spend additional money on new bids in order to play. Rather I can continue shopping normally and I always have bids loaded back to my account. If you don’t know what the “buy it now” is, you better learn it! It’s pretty simple… if you don’t win, you can buy the item you tried to win and get your bids back.

I say let the big fish try for all those laptops, large TV’s, pro cameras, etc! I am happy with my gift cards and the little items I can easily give away as presents.

Happy Bidding!

How I’ve Become A More Responsible Player With Self-Control

DealDash Shopping

I love Deal Dash; I have done so well on this website.

I have managed to win 34 auctions valued over a $1000.00 and only spent approximately $500.00. That’s double the profit therefore it makes it very hard not to become addicted to shopping on DealDash.com. I know that control is a huge part of loving this website and enjoying the experience. I’ve found myself playing auctions it in the middle of the night, during work, etc. and must say it’s addicting for me.

In my experience the profits outweigh the losses. With the BIN (Buy it Now) feature, you always feel like a winner; however, you need to be able to limit and control yourself. That’s exactly what I’m doing right now and why I’ve decided to give up DealDash during Lent.

Lent

lent/
noun
noun: Lent
  1. the period preceding Easter that in the Christian Church is devoted to fasting, abstinence, and penitence in commemoration of Christ’s fasting in the wilderness. In the Western Church it runs from Ash Wednesday to Holy Saturday and so includes forty weekdays.

It has been tough but worth it. I have been able to use up some of the gift cards I won on DealDash and I have become a more responsible player with self-control. Easter will be here soon enough and I will be back to win some more stuff.

Christmas Holiday Shopping Break Over | My Bidding Strategy

animated movies Now that the Christmas Holiday has passed, it is time to slow down and take a break from shopping on DealDash…..OK break over!

I am already starting to bid for next years Christmas gifts. I got such a late start bidding on last years Christmas, I fell short of what I wanted to win so when I saw the Philips Portable DVD Player with 9-inch Display coming up for auction, I knew my 5 year old grandson would love watching his favorite animated movies. He has quite a collection of DVD’s at his disposal and this would be great for him to watch those on and use while he is in the car on short trips.

Since you never know how many other bidders are interested in the same auction you’re planning on bidding it, I use the bidding strategy where I plugged in several bids into my BidBuddy then sat back and watched the auction run. A good DealDash tip is to use the BidBuddy as this is the best way to place your bids because it always places them during the last second of the auction. Therefore if someone else is placing manual / single bids their bid will be placed before yours and you conserve bids. In this auction I only ended up needing 7 bids to win and my winning bid was at just $0.28 ($100.00 retail}. With the super fast and free shipping that DealDash offers, it was here in a few days. I am off and running…after all… Christmas is only 10 & 1/2 months away!

Reasons You Can Win More in January!!

What a good time to bid! The holiday madness is over and we can take advantage of less people on board. If the auction numbers hold steady, it only makes sense that with less people, the better our chances to win. I know I will be shopping on DealDash looking for gift cards or other unique things that may come up for auction.

Red Cardinal in Snow

I always keep gift cards or gifts won so that if there is an occasion, I have gifts on hand. Especially, since we have brutal winters, this is the best way to shop.

How easy is it to pull out a gift and send it to my out of state relatives on their birthdays or surprise my grandaughter with a TOYSRUS card. Deal Dash has been a good alternative to shopping at stores, the customer service is great, and the shipping is free. Take advantage of this time of year when others are not shopping as much and have fun!
