DealDash Keeps Kids Organized With Crafts

DealDash

Crafts are fun to do with kids. Let DealDash help keep your kids organized with these tips.

Crafting is a fantastic way to assist kids in exploring their creative side. Unfortunately for many parents, keeping everything organized for your kids to craft can be difficult. Here are some tips for getting and keeping your kids organized when they want to do crafts, from DealDash.

Keep Materials Together

You will need to keep materials together. For instance, if your child likes to craft with paper and pens and such, you will want to find a container to keep all of their materials together. This way they will know exactly where they are and when to put everything once they are done creating. You might want to get containers for each different type of writing utensil such as colored pencils, gel pens, and crayons.

Take it Step-By-Step

Have your kids work step by step with what they are doing with their crafts. Sometimes kids can get messy and that is OK but if you can teach them to work slowly they will have less of a chance to do things like get crafting materials all over the place. When kids work step-by-step it’s much easier to help them clean up as they go.

Have Craft Storage Available

It’s almost impossible to keep things organized if there isn’t enough storage. If you don’t have plenty of storage for craft supplies, why not get some on DealDash? DealDash has lots of awesome storage solutions for crafts and more.

Keep Ideas Organized

Having your child write down ideas for projects can be really helpful in getting them organized. You can have them write down what they want to create and what supplies that they will need and you can get everything together for them.  You could even have them do this for future projects that you may not have all the supplies for so you can organize getting those projects.

Clean Up, Everyone, Everywhere

Making sure that your kids help clean up when they are done crafting. This will help them stay organized as they will learn where to put supplies back where they belong. This is a great way to teach them some responsibility as well as they can be responsible for making sure the supplies that they use are returned to where they are being stored. If you start them young, they will be pros at cleaning up when they are a little older.

Thanks for Reading

Crafting with kids can be chaotic but it doesn’t need to be. If you put together a plan to keep your kids organized you will have a much simpler time with everything when they are crafting.

DealDash: Create A Craft Space at Home

DealDash crafts

Love crafting? Having a dedicated craft space in your home makes things so much easier. Let DealDash help.

I’ve been a crafter all my life, but I’ve only had a dedicated craft room for the past two years. It was a must when we were looking at houses to buy. If you don’t have space for an entire craft room in your home, you just need a little corner all to yourself. It’s easy to make a small space the perfect little crafting area if you do things with organization in mind. Here are some ideas from DealDash to help you get started.

Where Can You Craft?

Anywhere! However, I suggest a nice little cozy corner in your kitchen, dining room, or family room. It’s best if there is a window for some natural light. You’ll definitely need at least one outlet, preferably more, depending on your craft of choice. Be sure that you get yourself a power strip surge protector as well. If you have a storage room, finished basement, or even a walk-in closet those would be even better. You don’t need a lot of space, just work with what you have.

What Do You Need in Your Craft Space?

It depends on the craft, of course! If knitting and crochet are your crafts of choice, then you most likely just need a comfy chair and somewhere to store your yarn and other supplies. Scrapbookers, on the other hand, will definitely need a desk along with lots of extra storage for all of their supplies. Think about all of your crafting supplies and how you can organize them nicely to fit into the space that you have available. You’re obviously the creative type, so get thinking!

Shelving, Racks, and Pegboards Oh My!

After you have started setting up your crafting space you’ll want to re-evaluate your storage situation. Almost every craft that I can think of would benefit from shelving, racks, or a pegboard – or possibly a combination. Shelving can be made inexpensively with brackets and painted 2X4s, and racks can be the cheaper plastic kind or you can spring for the nicer metal ones. Let your needs and your budget dictate what you install in your craft area.

Small Storage

Once the big items are taken care of in your crafting space, it’s time to think about the little things. Most crafting involves lots of tiny pieces, from needles, pins, thread, stickers, staples, markers, etc. Do yourself a favor and buy 5-10 matching small storage tubs for all of your different small supplies. Label them and fill them with your things. Arrange them on your shelving that you just put up, and enjoy your new crafting space!

DealDash Tackles Shoe Organization

dealdash shoes

No place to store all of your shoes? Maybe you just need to get creative with help from DealDash.

How many women do you know that happen to have this problem? Perhaps you live in a house with little storage or a small apartment, and you are having trouble storing all of your shoes. You will always have to find some space for your shoes, especially if you buy them regularly. Do you get stressed when you can’t find the perfect place for your shoes? I am going to give you some simple rules to follow when organizing. I’ll also show you some creative ideas to arrange and organize your shoes. I hope they help you with your shoe storage problem.

The Shoe Rules

Rule 101:

It doesn’t matter how you organize them, just remember never to place your shoes on an outside porch or balcony, kitchen, bathroom or in closets. These places are home to heat, humidity, and general dampness. This will damage your shoes.

Rule 102:

Don’t throw them on top of one another, not even if you are in a hurry. Have some respect for your shoes. No matter if they’re cheapies from the discount store or high-end stilettos, it can damage them to throw them on top of each other. Don’t abuse your shoes, and in exchange, they will take care of your feet.

Rule 103:

Alternate different pairs, and don’t use the same pair for more than 2-3 days at a time. Wearing a single pair of shoes for a whole week is going to deteriorate them really fast. If you have a spouse that doesn’t approve of your shopping hobby, just show them this article and tell them that you need to buy more shoes so you can alternate them!

Organization Suggestions

  • Organize your shoes by categories such as sports, special occasions, work, walking, slippers, etc.
  • Inspect each shoe every six months to make sure which ones you can still wear and which ones you have to throw out. If they are still in usable condition, please consider donating them, especially if they are work-type shoes. Thrift stores are always in need of career wear to help prospective job-seekers with their interview outfits.

Pictorial Suggestions

Here are some suggestions on how and where to place your shoes for organization and aesthetic principal. I hope at least one of them will interest you:

DealDash Organizes Efficiently

Image result for organized

There are many ways to keep your belongings organized. Let DealDash help you keep things organized efficiently.

No one likes to live in a messy, disorganized, chaotic house. Unless you live alone, then my guess is that you are most likely cleaning up after yourself as well as others. I live in a large house with my family of 5, and if I didn’t do my best to keep things organized then things would be an absolute wreck. Here are some tips to keep things organized efficiently.

Cellphone, socks and library book hunts can cause distraction and frustration, especially in the morning when you are trying to get everyone off to the school bus and to work. Being organized and stable can create efficiency, since everything will always be in the same place. Establish a permanent home for all the items you have, especially the ones that you use every day and won’t leave the house without taking.

When you are trying to organize your home, go from room to room and make space for all of your items. Organize paperwork, electronics cords, clothes,  shoes, Blu-Rays, and video games in a way that you can easily find what you are looking for.  It may take you a few extra minutes to put things away each time, but you’ll save a plenty of time to make up for it from having to search for what’s important. It will also save you much frustration and stress as well.

When you’re thinking about efficient organizing, and transforming your home from chaos to order – think baskets and shelves! Baskets and shelving units are your best friends when it comes to keeping things organized and neat, especially if you live in a home with multiple people and many belongings. Another favorite organizational item that I like to use is a hybrid of baskets and shelves – a storage unit with cloth boxes. These are great in a playroom, family room, or even a bedroom. You can even label the fabric boxes to keep things even more organized.

DealDash Helps: Clean Out Your Closet

Do you ever feel like the lady in the picture above? Your closet is packed to the gills, yet you feel like you have nothing to wear? It’s time to clean that closet out.

It might seem a bit counterintuitive, but when you clean out your closet and have less clothing to choose from it is often easier to find something to wear. The reason behind this phenomenon is when your closet is so tightly packed together it’s very easy to overlook clothing items, and in time you forget exactly what clothing that you have to choose from.

You should do a closet clean out twice per year – once when you put away your winter clothing for the year, and once when you put your summer clothing away for the year. The first year of bi-annual closet clean-outs will be the most difficult, it will only get easier the subsequent years. Let’s get down to the business of closet cleaning.

It’s just becoming summer now, let’s assume that you haven’t yet put away your winter clothing yet. The first thing that you are going to want to do is pull out all of your winter clothing. Shirts, sweaters, pants, wool socks, scarves, everything. Pile it all onto your bed or couch. The next thing you want to do is make piles. I personally make a keep, donate, and trash pile.

There are very few things that go into the trash pile, mostly worn out socks and tights, but if you are harder on your clothing than I am you might have pants with knee holes, or other imperfections.

The donation pile can include things that are worn out but still usable, items that don’t fit, or things that you bought or were given and just don’t like. If you are the type of person who claims individual charitable deductions on your taxes instead of taking the standard deduction you should make a list of the items that you are donating so that you can attach it to your donation receipt.

The keep pile should be neatly packed away, clean and ready for the next season. I like to toss in a few of the wooden cedar rounds that are meant to be put in dresser drawers to keep things fresh, but other people prefer to put in a fabric softener sheet or two.

Now, it’s time to put up your summer clothing. as you are putting your clothing on hangers be sure to hang the hangers backwards in your closet as you are hanging them up. After you have worn the item, washed it, and are putting it away again you can put the hanger as your normally would. This will make things easier when it’s time to clean out the closet again when the next season comes, because any clothing item that is still on a backwards hanger means that you haven’t worn it all season, and it’s time to donate it.

See, wasn’t that easy? Now, believe it or not, I have gotten all of my storage items that I use from DealDash! DealDash has all sorts of different storage items including bins, cabinets, fabric cubes, and more. Just click this link right here and it will take you to some storage items on DealDash. Good luck and happy bidding everyone!

DealDash Tips for Storage

Garages are generally the dump spot of the things we accumulate in our residences. They can come to be so chaotic that a person could not even stroll or stay inside his very own garage. With garage area storage space suggestions and appropriate preparation that will certainly entail some grouping, categorizing, and also sorting, the garage can be changed into a location that every family members will grow to enjoy. Luckily, DealDash also has several items that can be used for storage, make sure and check them out when you’re done reading this.

Garage area Storage space Suggestion # 1.

Products in the garage must be grouped accordingly. This company approach makes it simpler as well as much more convenient to locate products and to return them as soon as you are finished with them. It would likewise be helpful if all the products in the garage are categorized according to the regularity of use. Afterwards, it will certainly be less complicated to estimate the amount of space needed and to position the things in critical locations.

Concept # 2.

For showing off products, it would be best to put them near the garage door for easier gain and access. Merely bear in mind not to prop showing off items on the wall considering that this does not only waste floor and wall surface space, it can additionally be destructive, particularly when one slams the door, the auto runs over a ski board, or a bike scratches an auto. For off-season sports gear, it is good to place them in significant plastic containers.

Idea # 3.

Gardening devices ought to be positioned near the side door that would lead to the backyard. In case there is no side door, the tools need to be positioned on an area near the position. For fertilizers, herbicides, and also other gardening products that could be harmful to your health and wellness, maintain them and keep them unreachable, such as in secured cabinets or top shelves.

Garbage needs to additionally be placed near the door. Considering that the majority of people keep their trash in the garage till pick-up day, another among those great garage area storage concepts would certainly be to use containers that have wheels. This would make it less complicated to place the trash out and also to move the bin around when needed.

Concept # 4.

Holiday decors should also be organized with each other. It is not a great idea to mix such decorations because it would be more challenging to pull out all designs if Christmas decorations are mixed with Halloween things. Putting these in color-coded containers is one of the lots of garage area storage concepts that promote organization.

Speaking of containers, it is most ideal to put things in them. They can be labeled as well as it is very easy to stack containers making use of vertical areas. With garage racks, it is easier to organize materials and also avoid these from getting spread on the floor area.

Suggestion # 5.

Storage closets are also extremely valuable as these can be walked around for optimal area preparation. Much more hazardous materials, such as paint and also sharp horticulture devices, can be locked away in these not just for safety, but additionally for conformity in a storage space system.

There are still numerous garage area storage suggestions that can be designed. Simply do not forget that the essentials still matter. Great preparing, grouping, as well as zoning are essential activities for a roomy and much better garage area.

Now that you’ve got some great storage tips, head on in to DealDash and see what you can find for yourself. And remember DealDash always has the best prices on items you can win at auction.
