If you lead a busy life, especially if you have kids and pets, you are looking for ways to save time on everything. Here are a few tips for saving time in the kitchen. These quick tips are easy to implement and will save you time and effort. Read on for more information from DealDash.

Extra Rice, Please

Cook more rice than you need. Rice can store easily for at least a week in the refrigerator. It will still taste great so you won’t have to spend time cooking rice for the next dish that calls for rice.

Use Kitchen Scissors

Kitchen scissors can be a real time-saver in the kitchen. You can use them to cut chicken into strips or lettuce for a salad. There are so many possibilities that can save you time here.

Boil Water Faster

When you are boiling water make sure to cover the pot when you put the water on. Also, strangely enough, use cold water as it will boil faster than hot water will.

Cheese Tips

If you are using a grater to grate cheese (or other foods that can be sticky) spray a little oil on the grater. You will have a much simpler time with preparation and clean up.

If you are working with a semi-soft cheese like mozzarella, freezing it for about six minutes will stop it from sticking to itself when you grate it.

Cooking with Wine

If you use wine in your cooking you can freeze some in an ice cube trays. This makes it much faster to use the right amount in your cooking when you are preparing things like casseroles.

Be Smart with Frozen Meat

When defrosting make sure that you separate meats into only what is needed. This is so the rest can be put back into the freezer for another meal. Chicken can be placed in freezer bags, for example.

If you’re a busy person like most of us are, you could probably use some time-saving hints and tricks to use throughout your day to save you not only time but energy and effort as well. Even if you don’t feel like you are pressed for time, give these tricks a try anyway, you might find a new way of doing things. DealDash just wants to help you maximize your time.

Create a “1 cup per person per day” rule at your house. Assign each person in your house their own personal cup. The owner of that cup is responsible for washing their cup throughout the day if they want to change drinks, and also for washing it or putting it in the dishwasher at the end of the night. Kids age 5+ should be able to do these things, but you might have to help anyone that’s a bit younger.

Image result for laundry sorting

Are you tired of doing the laundry and then having to sort it out by family member? Assign each family member a laundry day. That way each person has a full day to get all of their laundry done, and there is no sorting between family members needed. I have always felt that sorting the clean laundry is the worst part – even worse than shoveling the dirty, stinky laundry into the washer.

Do you know someone who is having a birthday, graduating, or having another card-giving holiday? Send those babies out all at once on the first day or two of the month. That way, you won’t forget, and your card will even get there early!

I hope that you found some of these ideas helpful for your lifestyle. If you’d like to save time and money as well then be sure to check out DealDash. DealDash has everything you need to make your life easier. Visit DealDash now to check out the auctions. Good luck and happy bidding everyone!
