DealDash

Board games are great for all ages, from preschooler to the elderly. DealDash has lots of games to choose from. Here are some favorites.

My family absolutely loves board games! There are lots of great games out there, and they aren’t just for kids. Board games and card games have made a great resurgence into popularity these days. Here are some favorites that are available from DealDash.

Catan

Catan is an excellent strategy board game. You will start by revealing Catan’s many harbors and regions: pastures, fields, mountains, hills, forests, and desert. Catan is fun because the random mix of pieces creates a different board each and every time. This game does have a few restrictions that you should be aware of: this is not a 2-player game, you will need 3-4 players for this game. Also, this is not a game for small kids because it has a little bit of a learning curve to pick up. I would suggest that this game would be good for ages 10+. Ticket to Ride

If you haven’t played the Ticket To Ride Board Game, you’re in for a treat. This fun game is a cross-country train adventure is made for two to five players. The objective of this train board game is to see who can travel by rail to the most cities in North America in just seven days. There are 225 colored train cars and players have to collect cards that allow them to use the different railway routes connecting the cities across the USA. If you like this game you will want to pick up the additional games that feature New York, Europe, India, Asia, and others. If you would like to check out this game on DealDash, just click here.

Deluxe Super Scrabble

Classic Scrabble has always been one of my favorite games. However, Deluxe Super Scrabble is even better! It is just like Classic Scrabble, with a few extra bonuses. The new board features a tile lock design that holds the tiles in place even if the board is moved. This way, the surface can be rotated for each player while keeping the tiles from moving. There are also more spaces and more tiles than the original. This is also a game that younger kids can play as long as they have adequate reading and spelling skills. The recommended age for players ages 8 and up. If you would like to check out this game on DealDash, just click here.

DealDash Plays Family Games

As summer turns into fall and the evenings start to get chilly, families are spending more time indoors now. After the homework is done, and dinner has been eaten, what is left to do? Games!

No matter if your family enjoys board games, card games, or video games – there’s something for everyone when your family plays games together. Children as young as 4 can enjoy most games, especially if someone can help them with the reading if it’s needed.

Some families do “Family game night” every week on a certain day, but when the weather is chilly and no one wants to go out in the evening, why not make every night “Family game night?” If you build a stockpile of fun games that last less than half an hour to play, why not? It brings the family together in a fun way, strengthens bonds, and can even spark conversation from even the most quiet child.

Here are some of my family’s favorite games – keep in mind that in addition to the two adults there is an _almost_ 5-year-old, and an 8-year-old. There’s also a baby, but he can’t talk yet, so he’s not able to play any sort of games yet – other than throwing Cheerios at my head, that is!

Card Games:

  • Go Fish
  • War
  • Matching

Board Games:

  • Candy Land
  • Memory
  • Chutes & Ladders

Other Games:

  • Tic Tac Toe
  • Word Searches

Video Games:

  • Bejeweled
  • Temple Run
  • Plants Vs. Zombies
  • Classic Mario
  • Classic Sonic
  • Classic Tetris

So you see, even if your family includes kids that are not reading yet, there are lots of fun games that you can still play together. The games I listed are just the tip of the iceberg. Once all of your children can read, the world of games really opens up and gets a lot more fun with so many more choices.

There are many fun family games that can be played on the Wii U. DealDash often has Wii U systems and games up for auction. Win your kids a Wii U on DealDash and be a hero. Just click right here to check out DealDash and see how much you can save. Good luck and happy bidding everyone!
