Get Enough Sleep

You need to make sure that you and your children are getting enough sleep. Kids can get get a little overly active being stuck inside. Ergo, you need to make sure that they are getting time outside when possible and that you are keeping them busy inside as well. You will also want to make sure that your kids are getting enough rest so that they will be able to stay as healthy as possible.

While we need the appropriate amount rest out children need it much more. That doesn’t mean that you should stay up until the late hours, either. Shoot for 7-8 hours of sleep per night for yourself, and 10+ hours for children.

Vitamin C might also be in order to make sure that you and your kids are as healthy as possible during the winter months. They make wonderful gummy multi-vitamins for both kids and adults. They are very similar to gummy bears, so they are not a chore, but a treat!

Hand Washing is Imperative

You also need to teach your kids about the importance of washing their hands. This is not only for winter but all year long so that your kids will stay healthy. You need to make sure to teach the reason that they need to wash their hands as doing this is just as important as the act of washing their hands itself.

It’s important to understand that coughs differ, some may need particular attention and a doctor’s care while others need patience and support from you, not medicine.
